Their fewm is that he is a rising star and not just in the UK. Mega star no and he probably won't be either. The fact that he is a Geordie and a Newcastle fan, and he wants to promote that fact around the country (and the world), is absolutely making their fan base show an anger, which is even beyond their usual level of all things Newcastle related. If he was from the Sunderland area and a Sunderland fan, then they would be celebrating him as a massive lads fan () and that his music was out of this world. The fact that one musician has outraged an entire fan base (or just about) is so funny to witness. Multi page threads, whenever he has a new single or a new tour, spouting their anger and hate. Any of their fans posting stating they attended a concert and enjoyed it, is followed by a mass heretic demonstration against a fellow supporter.

We can (though the contract has to be signed on the 1st), but let's be honest when do we announce signings until the contract is signed. We have seen it take 3 or 4 days before an announcement, even when we know the player has had his medical - look at Botman. We don't do things quickly in terms of signing players.

BBC Introducing NE played some clips yesterday including an interview on BBC Breakfast the day after the takeover, and he was saying he was massively hung over as he and Johnny went down to the ground (where Johnny got his sax out on the statue) and someone gave him a load of CANS. He must have turned into a super fan quick. Edit: this was the interview they played:

While I think panic at this point is daft, we don’t need to wait until 1st July to sign players on 1st July

Still think most signings will happen after 30th June to be included within next years accounts. May see a signing before, but I suppose it depends on the knock on effect going forward and if we have any wiggle room.

it’d probably take £80m+ for Kulusevski but he’d be my #1 choice if it were possible.

Petition to rename toon25 as bollockless25 when Trafford becomes world class playing for us?
-
Probably more to do with them getting the World Cup in 2034. Scratching each other's back. FIFA are corrupt everyone knows that, totally different to us, where we know that the cartel and their premier league puppets, are just waiting for anything to pounce.
-
Probably not entirely unrelated to the corrupt Infantino giving Saudi the World Cup.

Past 15 years of windows, bar a few, have been absolutely wank. Can't blame anyone for being worried about it. 'U cAN OnlY JuDgE AFTA ThE WINDO is ClosED'

Not sure...maybe we have, maybe we haven't -
Do you think 50-55 would do it?

Jimmy White?

Guess who said this 3 weeks ago “Speed is key because we have to be dynamic, we have to be ready to conclude things very quickly because good players don’t hang around for long. That’s always been my thought and my message on recruitment really because you can have a period when you think you have time - but then you look around quickly and you see that time has elapsed and you missed opportunities you won’t get again. That’s what we will be trying but the reality of that is it’s not always in your hands - but we will do our best to do things early.”

‘Channel 5 bought the UK rights’. Megabucks there, then. Unpopular opinion - but our owners and FIFA are jointly knackering football with this nonsense. Why did PIF feel the need to chuck $1bn at this shite? Was another party bidding $999m? It’s funny how every decision on us seems to take a lifetime, yet they can happily spunk a billion on this nonsense.

If your flapping about no signings at this point, sorry, but your unwell! It's the 13th of June, we don't restart the season next week, we don't even return to pre season for a month or so, I don't want to be harsh with my words but it's honestly bordering on moronic. (That's the politest way I can word it!) I really thought that winning that 1st trophy would've changed the mentality of the fanbase but shockingly to me so many still want to cling on to the negativity and despair. I don't remember who made the post but they hit the nail on the head when they said it doesn't matter the name of who we actually sign, because whoever it is we know they'll be the right fit. Our recruitment has been 10/10, we have every reason to trust the people in charge of the process from top to bottom. So chill the fuck out, embrace the rumours, and whilst you reflect on the greatest season in our lifetime, be ready for it to be topped!

That’s how amortisation works - and amortisation is also the reason why we don’t have a huge amount of wriggle-room, because there’s c.£200m of book value of previous transfers on the annual books already. It’s high risk to bring players onboard from CL funding unless you’re one of the Big Six, as we won’t be able to replace that income the following year if we don’t qualify again (and of course qualifying again will still likely necessitate sales, given that the burn rate on previous amortised transfers will have been added again).

I think the real answer is always far more prosaic and logical than the gossip/hype. They probably did what almost every club does - did some research, came up with a shortlist, sounded out the people on the shortlist, made a decision and started proper negotiations. It does seem very likely to me that the decision to try to hire Frank was made a long time ago. They didn’t want to sack Ange while there was still a chance of a trophy - and the players still broadly backed him. When we won the Cup they had to wait just enough time to let the euphoria die down but not too much time so Frank would come in too late. Maybe we did want Iraola? No idea. All I know is that (a) Frank makes sense as an appointment (at this stage) and (b) people in general wildly underestimate the percentage of social and legacy media coverage of football that is just utterly made-up bollocks.

The world class ones would -
Shame about Frank, he could do well, one of the reasons I was pleased Spurs won the final was that Ange might stay and wreck another PL season. Feel cheated that he’s gone!

Isak will be gone in the next 2 years unfortunately unless we are winning the premier league and champions league. That will cover loads of transfers
