  1. Past hour
  2. Perhaps just see how it plays out?
  3. Think he’s signed some good youngsters by the looks of it, but we’ll never know what his 1st team signings would have been, I suspect a little bit different to the current links though.
  4. If Mitchell was in charge of recruitment like we thought he was gonna be when he joined us. We'd have made plenty of signings by now from abroad. High potential players for Eddie to work with. In my opinion of course.

Really good player, but why do i get the feeling he'll be a two/three season of being really good, then kicks off because we wants to move on. Hope I’m wrong on that, but he certainly doesn't give me Bruno, Big Joe vibes.
  6. 100% It's a problem for sure. I guess we just have to buy less of them but at inflated prices. Not sure what else we can do about it.
  7. Eh !! At the time of the takeover the media said we would have Messi and Ronaldo playing in a rocket powered super stadium that carried out stonings and beheadings once a month.
  8. Too expensive/hope we don't fuck about with the price just pay what it takes/too foreign/not foreign enough/Should have gone to a different market/can't guarantee quality from other leagues/kill me now.

Been busy at work today but saw Edwards’s “👀” twitter post early. Came on here to see what it was about and it was just him saying we’ve opened talks. Raging.
  10. I’m completely at a loss with some of the posts on the last two pages. PIF is one of the largest investment funds in the world, acting for the benefit of one of one of the top 10 most influential counties in the world. They bought Newcastle United as an investment opportunity for over 300m and have since easily doubled that by investments in the playing squad and facilities. There is no sign that they won’t spend anything below what the rules allow and there should soon be an announcement about a billion pound stadium investment. They saved us from almost certain relegation under the fat mess, got us in the CL 2/3 years and won us out first trophy in a lifetime. Yet here we are: posters lamenting that we are not a priority. It’s laughable really. Would you rather have still had Ashley in charge, or PIF spent 10bn to buy us the league in the first year? Surely not!? PIF are being very ambitious owners making all the right calls so far and developing our beloved club to be a force to be reckoned with long after they sell up. I couldn’t be more happy about how they’ve handled things with NUFC.
  11. Problem is we cannot afford the good players either. 😂

    Fuckin Mitchell stealing a living.

    I was also being sarcastic.
  14. Cunha has looked X factor as there was not much quality around him at Wolves whilst Pedro has had Mitoma playing in the side so takes limelight off him. Pedro's stats seem as good as Cunha too in terms of G/A. Pedro seems less hot headed than Cunha too. So less likely to be suspended. Also a few years under Howe he will be even better than Cunha in my opinion.
  15. Reebok back making kits in the UK:
  16. I thought this window would be us pushing our team to the next level with recruitment. But going off the links we're seeing (what else can we go on?) it seems more solidifying the level we are already reaching on occasion. It's still progress. Slower yeah, but safer. We can't afford the elites, we won't risk the unknowns and so we're left with shopping the pool of good players from the Prem, that clubs are reluctant/don't need to sell. Obviously this is just how I see it. No one knows.

Calling Fraser Fletcher a superb source? I used to respect you, Prophet.
  21. I like JP but he’s not shown that X Factor Cunha has these last couple of seasons. Winning games himself.

    Anthony Gordon

He acts like a top player but this season didn't play like one. Last season he was incredible. I do have questions over his mentality however. Spat his dummy to get out of Everton (which I chalked up to being an unhappy young player, and you never seem to mind as much if a player's doing that to come to your club), then looked completely distracted at the start of this season. Then there have been performances where he hasn't looked arsed or lacked concentration (particularly with his passing). There have been other games where the occasion or something has got to him and his focus has completely gone and he seems far more petulant than he used to. I'm thinking both Everton games and of course the cup games versus Brighton where he's then banned for one of the key moments in our history. If this coming season we're getting 23/24 Gordon , fantastic. The Gordon of the 24/25 season doesn't deserve a start ahead of Barnes on the left and we know full well Eddie doesn't like to use him on the right.
  23. The links seem to be players we've been chasing for 1-3 years. More than happy that if we have a player in mind that we really like, we keep them in mind for when they are available.
  24. If we do some sign someone before the 30th, it means we have had some wiggle room in this years accounts, which is a positive.
  25. Agree a little bit. They are all solid players, but a little boring maybe. What I like about Pedro is he brings something different to the team.
