I'm sure he said St James' is his favourite away ground, too. Which to me, means he's choking to sign for us with Scalvini
-
Bet you log back in and check within the hour
-
Clubs dont make offers if the player categorically has said no. Personal terms might not be agreed, but certainly Guehi didnt say no to us.
-
Same here, literally find it boring now. Golf course until end of July sounds more like it
-
"Could advance" "one to watch" "still keen" "interest remains" Yeah this is boring now. Journos just rehashing nonsense I'll mentally check out until the season starts
-
On the other hand, how many risky signings can we afford? What if a couple of them don't hit?
-
I think Gordon or Barnes might be sold, more likely Gordon
-
Hmm, kind of, I was assuming an upgrade on Willock because IMO he offers very, very little now. We still wouldn't have a replacement for the main 3 that is any quality, except Miley who is still very young. I think Pedro would play instead of a midfielder rather than as a midfielder. So in a game where we wanted a midfield 3 he wouldn't play there.
-
This is where the hesitation and frustration around Elanga and to a lesser extent JP and Guehi comes from. For the fees mentioned we would want higher ceiling players.
-
Waffle waffle waffle from Luke again.
-
Agree with whoever said we need to take calculated risks on potential world class players that other elite clubs are lot confident or ready to pull the trigger on. OR/AND pay a premium for those players. I think that’s what we’ve done with Tino, Hall, Isak and Tonali. That’s where I trust the counting teams judgment a lot.
-
Bruno Tonali Joelinton Willock Miley Pedro when needed and to maintain his game time… Think that will be enough as Miley got little game time nor Willock. Obviously Ederson would be nice
-
Also, Scalvini has never been mentioned by NE journos until today - why even pretend you know the info that we 'like' him, Luke.
-
wow. A paid journalist is hoping to 'reverse jinx' an action he is supposed to report to his followers. That full tweet could easily say: Don't know whats happening.
-
He is also part of the biggest transfer platform where player offers are sent, negotiated and accessed. Check it out. Agents push players on there etc. Membership fees are very high. Brighton signed Caicedo from there. https://www.transferroom.com This gives front row access to negotiations etc quite a lot of deals are completed on there too.
-
Got a feeling the first we’ll hear of a proper signing is when he’s due to fly in. Similar to the Tonali, Guimaraes deals. . . .
-
I bet those close-knit fawning exclusives with Bruce about him creosoting his fence or having a Sunday roast feel like a lifetime ago for Puke now. He knows no more than anyone else with a well-built twitter feed does.
-
I don't think Pedro would negate the need for a CM except if we're permanently changing system. If we're playing 4-3-3 with any regularity we need another midfielder still.
-
"One to watch perhaps" . Are you kidding? Just type "I dont know".
-
Hasn't got a clue.
-
Welcome to Newcastle, Scalvini
-
Marco Negri. Think his brother was called Paolo
-
Versatility. For example Pedro could potentially play up top or as a ten or an advanced eight, negating the need for a CM. Similarly if we get a right winger who is capable up top, it may negate the need for spending big on a forward.
