  1. Past hour
  2. Surely you don't put your pink knickers in with everything else? That's just fkn madness.
  3. Are we monitoring potential sites.
  4. I think deals can be done quickly if you want them to. Gotta feel like we are going to be haggling all summer to save a few quid. While Chelsea, City, Man U and Liverpool hoover up all the talent. Sounds familiar actually.
  5. They will announce they have completed phase 3 of the feasibility study and will be starting phase 4.

    St James' Park

You think? Maybe in some ways that I’ve not noticed perhaps. I think the inside of Spurs stadium looks a bit more rounded, no? The way the stands and all the seating is. Kind of more like a soft wave than the sharper look of the Allegiant. Not sure how to describe it
  7. Checko

    St James' Park

I've decided I want a stadium designed to look like Brian Johnson's hat.
  8. Stifler

    St James' Park

Aye it looks class, but it would be better with the wrap around or halo screens.
  9. Does look more like a sprinter's workout routine, but if he has the time then he's definitely putting the work in.
  10. I like how he makes it sound like he says this every month
  11. Tross

    St James' Park

    Just Spurs' ground though innit.
  12. Guess the difference with us was that we were already ahead and had enough points already.
  13. Jaqen

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

People complaining about the players linked with being at inflated prices but as soon as it's came out the club apparently think that, it's worrying and we need to just bite the bullet?
  14. It was disappointing for Forest to not beat Chelsea on the final day. It was all set up for them. I would say more about it, but our own final day performance was dire and not far off costing us too.
  15. Ikon

    St James' Park

I like how the inside of the Allegiant Stadium looks. Might be a lot because of the colours as well. Get a similar inside but slightly bigger as well as getting rid of similar massive screens that they use.
  16. Frank has shown he's got ability, but the pressure of being Spurs manager is a step up. I think I'd have gone for Iraola. I sense there's an extra streak of toughness in his make-up.
  17. Howe said himself whilst CL football is great to be able to offer, the financials are still what's most important. Which we struggle with.
  18. Finished above us 2 seasons in a row. Unlimited spending hack.
  19. You sure that's u23 and not u9's?
  20. I think players look at the package as a while and not just the sporting side. It's a short career and they need to maximise what they earn. Plenty of players who can improve us, I don't think that's the issue, but how many players can improve that are both young, with room to grow and affordable? The pool shrinks and those said players are the ones our competitors want as well for the same reasons. It's also why what Chelsea are doing is interesting and obviously grotesque. Think about how they've basically done everything wrong (some horrible signings, no long term strategy, scattergun approach, heavy overpays and poor managerial appointment) yet they still finished above us. You may also note how they are linked to practically every player we are.

    U23s & Academy

Kuol scored a belter in a U23s match for Oz v South Korea. It's the first of two goals...
  22. I do sort of understand the logic and also realise that things could definitely be being kept under wraps, but the the majority of links so far have all been for players already playing in the Premier League. I'm stating the obvious but there's much, much better value overseas and we'd be fools not to be tapping in to the European market. Maybe the fact we're ploughing through Sporting Directors has meant that we have not really been able to grow a vast network of scouts/contacts yet. Of course there is always a risk that they don't take to English football, but our record so far has been pretty impeccable when signing players from overseas. For balance, it's been impeccable from these shores too, so I don't really know how to put into words what I'm thinking in my head without contradicting myself 10 times
  23. The local journalists are more less paid club mouthpieces. It's quite rare for them to break genuine transfer news. Before I get jumped on, that's not a criticism, just the way it has seemed for quite a while now.
  24. Love how Sky are trying to big this up as some sort of deadline day. Fuck off man!
  25. I sort of agree. Clearly we are hobbled when it comes to offering mega wages (which I prefer, as it helps to avoid mercenaries). But the types of players we need and in my view should want are going to be expensive. Fair enough if we are trying to maximise budgets but at some stage they’re just going to need to pay asking prices. If you want good players normally clubs aren’t openly willing to sell them at a price convenient for the buyer. I am biased AF but to me any footballer worth their salt would look at our club and project and go “I fancy a bit of that”. You’ve a manager who will get you to the top of your game and you’ve a great chance of silverware and winning lots of matches, as well as being adored by the most loving fanbase there is. I don’t agree that there aren’t many options. To me it’s inconceivable that there aren’t players available for purchase who make us better.
