  1. Past hour
  2. This is why I just posted in another thread that winning trophies and competing in the CL is important from a PIF viewpoint. Chelsea were barely on the international radar before Abramovich's buyout. Winning the PL in such style with Mourinho catapulted them into the spotlight.
  3. And fir all the good sellers tag they have something must be fucked up if they are needing to sell hotels etc to make ends meet for psr. At some point t they have to run out of these one off items.
  4. If Chelsea sign Gittens too that he got to be times up for Neto, Madueke or a few of their youngsters, The club should also look at what opportunities this transfer creates - is there someone who is now unsettled to go for
  5. For the first part he did an interview with Ben Foster. For the last bit. I made that up.
  6. I think most of the mocking is for the approach taken by Boehly and Co, they weren't responsible for everything they've won in the last 10 years Only time will tell if their approach was genius but from the outside it just seems ridiculous and uncoordinated

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think if PIF saw us as purely an investment, they could probably have picked an easier investment opportunity where they didn't have to jump through hoops for 2 years to finally get to own a British PL club. That too after signing certain waivers. As a sportswashing exercise, maybe you could argue the case, but it's only effective from their POV if they own one which allows them to compete at the top level. Yasir's intermittent attendance at home games does suggest that they take it seriously. I don't think they want to be associated with an also ran team.
  8. They really didn't. Professional teams don't throw games. Granted their focus may have waned, but that's a bad sign at any level. It may have caused a downturn in performance, and that coming from a starting base of never beating anyone convincingly was enough to see them lose to teams in lowly positions. Nor were they capable of instantly switching it back on when the important games returned. They struggled and were very lucky in all three play off games.

Flags now fine at music festivals. Note "mags will be fuming" reference in final comment.
  10. Not sure where you get they are happy. They have tried to close every loophole they use.
  11. I live in a rural community and farmers absolute bellends.
  12. Clearly the system's rigged and it's sucking the life out of the game, but Chelsea are just exploiting that system, the lawmakers are the problem for me, and no player is going to care about that, it's actually working in their favour with these long contracts, and 99.9% of people in that position would do the same thing.

I’d rather have a Teddy on here than some of the cuckold alleged NUFC fans they allow to post on RTG. Biffo the Nonce being one.
  14. I'm sure that Borston chap on Talksport said that it's not about what it's worth now but what it could be worth down the line.
  15. If he works out as well as the last British right back we signed first from a foreign club, it’ll be ok.
  16. You read or saw Mandy's reaction back then, yeah? She completely lost it with the cartel. It's clear that was the plan, right? If APT wasn't a thing, we could've had a front shirt sponsor worth a hundred million, which would've sorted our PSR situation. PSR's not the real problem, it's APT, and I reckon that's why City's taking the PL to court. We'd have been able to get the players we needed then, 'cause we'd have had loads of room. PIF are totally up for splashing the cash on us. You can see what the club's saying too. "We'll spend as much as we can to the limit." We did that, and then some. Maybe they figured if you break the PSR, you just get a fine like what Uefa does, when Everton and Forest got points taken off. Eales even said "the rules have teeth" after that, we're being more careful. Its absolutely wrong to say they never really wanted to splash the cash. In my opinion that is.
  17. Kind of all in on the Leo Shahar train now so don’t want anyone derailing it now.

Teddy seems like a reasonable enough poster like. He's not like the melts on RTG so I don't get why we give him pelters. He's just putting forward ideas about the club he supports. Usual banter I totally get obviously.
  19. Imagine if our first signing this summer from a foreign club was for a British player
  20. If Villa do sell their womens team, it will be interesting to see what value they've placed on it. Chelsea sold theirs for 200 million, but they've won the WSL year on year and consistently challenged (but always fallen slightly short) for the champions league. Villa by contrast are awful! They're in the WSL, but constant managerial changes and rubbish transfers mean they're no where near Chelsea levels!
  21. That’s probably fair. No way to know how “massive” the sponsorship deals would have been without APT constraints though. Depends on how willing they were to take money out of one pocket to put in the other so-to-speak.
  22. It'll be like the Simon Grayson season all over again
