Silly me, I thought we might actually have a transfer lined up for as soon as the PSR window reset... disappointing In the meantime, Chelsea going wild in the market again.
-
Absolutely. They’re just doing exactly what what we would if anyone came in for our stars - demand a premium and tell them fuck off if they aren’t prepared to meet it. It’s exactly why we need to be looking elsewhere. If we can’t just meet the price for a club that aren’t needing to sell, we need to take advantage of positions elsewhere and be smarter
-
Arsenal keen as well, apparently.
-
Newcastle face competition from Aston Villa in the race to sign Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga, talkSPORT understands.
-
I don’t think Akliouche would hit the ground running, personally. Great prospect but really lightweight. At the top level there isn’t a pronounced difference in transfer fees from the PL and abroad.
-
Haha you hate that fella Was he really a man u fan. Sickening if so
-
Usually only does that when Man United score
-
Not a lot there to disagree on. However if you look at our previous transfer history there hasn’t been a lot of flops from outside the prem whereas Targett + Wood definitely didn’t work out as planned.
-
Not had the best season and plays in a back 3 but he’d be an amazing signing imo.
-
Entering his prime and he costs .6 Guehi's?
-
They’ll never sell him on the cheap. He’s too good and their fans love him. He’s like their Isak or Livramento where they won’t sell this window unless there’s bonkers money on the table.
-
So he'll be 26.01 when Chelsea sign him
-
I’m all for us getting Eddie’s top target but these PL clubs are absolute cunts to deal with. I have no desire to fund or fix any other financial issues.
-
Aren't we messing them about too though. They've said £60m+ by nearly every report going. They don't need to sell and yet we're going in with low bids we know will get rejected. I don't see our logic.
-
He was 23 when we started negotiations...
-
Fortunately Krafth is able to do a decent job during the periods Schar is knocked out.
-
Because they allowed us a to sign the mainstays of the team in the first place.
-
He was 23 the last time we signed a player.
-
25/26 squad will be Osula as cover for Murphy, DCL as cover for Isak
-
Looks like it’s gone from socials but it’s still on the club website. Edit: now gone from the website. Brucey’s lawyer must have been in touch.
-
Should have walked away after the original bid (it's Ryder so take anything he says with a pinch of salt), as he isn't worth £45 million never mind anything more.
-
Had no idea Insigne was still there
-
If Elanga isn’t possible (right now it doesn’t sound like Forest are even naming a price), and we won’t shop abroad, then we may need to stick with Murphy. I’ve been trying to think of a domestic alternative and all I could think of was McAtee. Elliott and Buonanotte aren’t wingers and likely won’t do a better job there than Murphy.
