I was fortunate enough to end up with tickets for two of the three dates and on both days the city centre had such a good feel about it from early on. Most bars were busy from mid-afternoon and packed out by teatime. The buzz about the whole city was just brilliant and it was wonderful to be part of it all - it was Newcastle at its very best and it was one of those times when you can really appreciate just how blessed we are to live here.
