It doesn't matter how angry or upset they get, or claim that it's sad/weird/pathetic behaviour, this has undoubtedly been a monumental success for both the city and the club and will have brought millions into the local economy. I was fortunate enough to end up with tickets for two of the three dates and on both days the city centre had such a good feel about it from early on. Most bars were busy from mid-afternoon and packed out by teatime. The buzz about the whole city was just brilliant and it was wonderful to be part of it all - it was Newcastle at its very best and it was one of those times when you can really appreciate just how blessed we are to live here. A pack of goons ten miles down the road who are bashing vitriol into a spunk-stained keyboard can never change any of this. If this is what "Geordiefication" is all about that lets have a whole load more of it please.
