Was it weird? Not really. Also he isn’t just some random teenager. If a club signs a player with massive potential then I don’t think it’s weird to say that he could be a class signing (long term). I don't want us to sign Joao Pedro, it doesn't make sense, not sure he's the right character given his recent bust up and he's yet another forward player who prefers the left side, also can't see him being happy not featuring when Isak is firing, we bought Will Osula and he needs to grow into that role. I do however see the sense in this lad as a right wing option that we need, absolutely behind us signing Elanga, I pray the Pedro rumours are just rumours.

The thing is these Elangas and DCLs and Pedros have been playing in EPL for long. We have seen them and I at least think they are nothing special. Is it wise to spend 60 million or something on Elanga? Is he kind of player that takes the next step here? Does Pedro break into Brazil team here and got 10-20 goals a season?
