Absolutely love what we've transformed into under Howe. Good bunch of lads, good characters - no arseholes, players of quality in a few key positions, the system that works like a well-oiled machine, organisation, creativity, hard work and camaraderie. It's a fantastic mix and it'll get better and better and better in the next few years, this is only the start

I don't think Emery will pull up any trees at Villa but he'll organise them and they'll be a better team after the WC than what they've been under Gerrard. They've got 10th written all over them

Coupled with the injury which forced DCL off this afternoon I'd be suggesting Wilson finds his flip-flops and swimming shorts, he's going to Qatar

I think one of their main problems is that that all seem to constantly tell themselves they're still a massive, huge club when the reality is that the vast majority of their success was before WW2. They are absolutely a big club and get numbers into the ground but this constant back-slapping of what they used to be is now holding them back. They may have won titles in the 1890s but they're currently lightyears behind Brentford and Fulham. They get far bigger gates than Bournemouth but they would crumple if the 2 played on Wednesday night. They're living in the past and are judging the players and managers on the achievements of teams 4 or 5 generations ago. It'll never be good enough and they'll always demand change. The whole 'we should be better', 'we deserve to be in the PL' and 'this tinpot league' shtick holds them back. The fans' attitude and mentality is the millstone but none of them are brave enough to even broach the subject.

Sounds like it's been a completely miserable and embarrassing day both on and off the field for them today. Booing the fuck out of the anti-racism gesture before kick-off, getting absolutely smashed by a poor Cardiff side at home, fans inside the ground using the pre-match display materials as litter/missiles and their fans attacking families and coaches after the game. 'Our fans'....

Sure Pickford has ADHD, just can't seem to just stay calm and make good decisions. Never known a keeper to have as many 'rushes to the brain' as this little wanker

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/special-mention-to-our-fans.1592924/ If your toes don't dislocate themselves because of the amount of cringe in here then you need to have a word. Best fans in the world - officially voted for by... themselves. Can't get higher praise than that

Honestly thought Cavani had randomly joined in a game and the pic was a souvenir

Spurs seem to be getting a lot of little niggly injuries as they're trying to see this game out...

As it stands we still have Darlow, Karius, Dummett, Lewis, Manquillo, Ritchie, Fraser, Wood and Murphy in the squad and replacing these with significantly better needs to be a priority .Some of that list are better than others and some are serviceable players who could come in and do a decent enough job for 3 or 4 games but I wouldn't want to rely on. Some are just flat-out not good enough. If we're aiming for European football next season then we need depth and that means moving most of that lot on for better

Bellingham is almost certainly out of reach for now... but I'd love us to really push it and make a bid. Ask the question and ruffle a few feathers and turn a few heads. He's going to get better offers from better clubs and he'll inevitably pick one of them but just get involved and change a few perceptions. Imagine the (imaginary) bid got accepted? Suddenly it's "fuck, they're after Bellingham now!" - would be a statement even when it fails

The frustration of those silly dropped points seems a long time ago now. Converting chances, winning games and building momentum nicely. Not going to look too far ahead and just let things play out once we get back from the WC. No pressure, no hassles just enjoy the football and performances and the rest will take care of itself

4? Thought Gerrard had been peddled?
