It's amazing how little he knows all things considered Most local papers at least have some idea what's going on but he knows absolutely f***ing nothing. It's staggering. Whenever anyone pulls him up on his writing ability/lack of knowledge/incoherent sentence structures he just replies 'I've been doing this for 20 years' as if that's some sort of burn I'm not a Geordie or from the NE but I hate the way this guy is the main representative for sports journalism up there. How did he get that job, I wonder? The last time he was on Talksport he had obviously been drinking as it was late in the evening and he was unbelievably antagonistic towards the presenters who were asking reasonable questions. I can't remember the details but just that he was so unnecessarily rude and I have never heard him on the radio since. Always wondered why he was never been on BBC Newcastle's Total Sport - every other local journalist has. I've spoke to him before. Trust me it's not the drink to blame. Naturally a dickhead or summat else? Struggles to construct sentences verbally which probably explains why he struggles to construct sentences in print. Perhaps journalism wasn't the vocation he should have entered into...

He's a liability and has been for quite sometime, he played reasonably well when he took the armband for a month or so a while back but in general he's regressed since the 5th. Saying that a few of them have - Krul, Cisse, Colocinni etc have all gone backwards in the last 3 years. Proper coaching (McClaren's strength by all accounts) could possibly sort a few of them out but the "that'll do" attitude has become ingrained and it'll be difficult to shift.

I've got a simple rule when it comes to stories in the media - I don't believe any of them. Regardless of club, player or source I regard all of them as horseshit, it's much easier that way, saves all the hassle of wanting to believe the positive stuff and doubting the negative stuff. It's all just fiction and none of it is true 'til something actually happens.
