The lad is an absolute joke. Just a parody of himself these days. Barely on the pitch two minutes before committing a foul Noticeable groan from all around when he came on, that's changed a lot in a couple of years. His Geordie roots force field is no more, only a matter of time before he's marginalised and sold imo. Not this window but he's on borrowed time with both the manager and the crowd. Sooner it happens the better.

That's the type of performance I was expecting all summer. Strong, powerful, dominant and professional. Organised at the back and grew in confidence once we went ahead and they never looked like conceding. Brighton were poor but we bossed it and never gave them the time and space they wanted. Up and running, that's now the benchmark - play like that every week and we'll run away with the league.

We need goals, we need options and we need depth. I'm not too thrilled that we're signing 33 year old journeymen strikers but he ticks a few boxes. Don't think anyone is under any illusions that he'll blow the division away but he's an appropriate signing for where we are and what we need. We need to get out of this division asap and if Murphy helps then so be it.
