Wonder how much we could sell him for?
-
Ironically I think selling Carroll for as much as we did is now hindering us a bit! He's become the new benchmark for any young, English club/player now, how many times have you heard "...well if Carroll's worth £35m then X is worth £y". We're stuck in 2008 as far as transfer fees is concerned, the fact that we've only went in big for Cabella and Cisse over the last 7 or 8 seasons has manipulated fans into thinking a fee of circa £15m is a monumental transfer the likes of which come around once every few years. Players are worth what someone's prepared to pay and PL clubs have never had more cash coming in. They've all got a fortune to spend and someone will cough up big for the likes of Austin and Berahino, it won't be us though. The people running the club need to get realistic if they're targeting young English players, it's the most expensive market to shop in.

Errrrrr...

To be fair someone said it weeks ago so I would be stealing their thunder if I took any credit. It was Bluestar.

It's amazing how we can only sort out one thing at a time as well. Should employ some women who can fucking multi-task. its insane, the club SM left have signed players already, we haven't had a manager for near 6 months. Pathetic. The earlier you sign them the sooner you need to start paying them. #wait

Sharp as a dart that. May even purchase it.

Sometimes hard to distinguish between the official, preferred propaganda and the unofficial propaganda.
-
Genuinely annoying how all of the other teams are investing and moving forward. Wish we got a slice of the tv money everyone else did. Cunts.
-
Still plenty of time to make our own luck, hit the ground running and give the new signings time to bed it, it's a moveable feast.

As if we're getting a draw. Extra games get you relegated, remember?

With all due respect to JJ and the other members the whole charade isn't worth a fuck. Any questions that even vaguely hint at their lack of ambition will be ignored totally but we'll hear all about their efforts to cater for disabled fans by widening their allocated space by 5cm or something just as trivial and/or irrelevant. This is no fault of the members of the FF obviously but continuing to attend despite being fobbed off somehow adds a bit of credence to the whle sham. They need to either do it properly or not at all, continuing as it is absurd.

So looks like it might just be the FA Cup we are 'taking seriously' again, then? That is an absolutely outrageous statement. Once again nothing has changed. League survival is still the only objective, and we will take the cups "seriously" if it looks like we are safe halfway through the season. This summer is all about the emperor's new clothes. But....but.....but I thought he did an interview and told us everything had changed? You mean to tell me he was just lying? Well butter my arse.

Knead to get their shit sorted.

Could they not even find a bloke with shoulders to model the fucker? It's monstrous but at least try to make it look average...

I don't consider Sterling to be a £50m player at all. £50m+ gets you an elite player at the top of his game and Raheem Sterling is a million miles away from that.

He's a human shield and he's too thick to realise. He'll be binned as a sacrifice at the first glimpse of supporter unrest.

Gut instinct tells me this one isn't going to work out, just a hunch and I sincerely hope McClaren makes the club a success, but I've got my doubts. That said, loads of things needed to happen this summer. Binning Carver - check. Hiring a manager who at least has a bit of a track record/isn't a complete cunt - check. Letting McClaren bring some of his own guys in - check. I never wanted McClaren but it's a decent appointment, he's a good coach by all accounts and in the grand scheme of things we could have been lumbered with a shite sight worse, this doesn't mean we couldn't have done much better either (I wanted Garde who would have signed apparently). He's got the job and I don't detest the fuck out of him. I'm not thrilled, I'm not overjoyed and I'm not enthused by McClaren but I'll wait and see how it pans out. Said earlier, I'm sick of hating every aspect of the club, I'm looking for positives and I want it to work but I've got my doubts. I'll give it 18 months.

“preferred media partners” = people who give us an easy ride and never put a negative slant on our cuntish behaviour.
-
Aye, this is pretty much me too. I'm sick of hating everything to do with the club and I want it to work so I can start to go back to how I was regarding the club. Being negative as fuck is starting to wear pretty thin and I just want to start enjoying NUFC again, McClaren's not who wanted but he's got it now so I'll just wait and see how it goes for a year. Binning Carver and Stone is a biggie for me, a bit of investment in 5 or 6 quality players would help and if he's as good a coach as I've heard then it augurs well. I want it to work.
-
Can't see past Zanetti at RB imo.
-
Richards would be a gold-plated plaster taped over a broken arm. Expensive, under-motivated and unlikely to work. He's not shit but he's the exact player we don't need.

As far as I'm concerned the World Cup is the only box that Messi hasn't ticked yet. Not winning it wouldn't diminish his standing in the game as has been mentioned, many many fantastic players have failed to win the World Cup and I'm certain a few knackers have somehow ended up with a medal too. I think it's thrown at him because it's simply the only thing he's not done yet. Said it before, when he's retired he'll be the new benchmark and eclipse Pele.

Fuck me the Canadian grand prix can be boring enough without that cunt getting involved. Hope Maldonado flies off the track into his face. © bimpy

In a squad full of zero season wonders he'd be quite good tbh.
