We sign very talented players but some are clearly not really suited to the Premier League. Some fantastic players haven't quite done it week in, week out in this league and that will always be the case, doesn't make them poor players. We sign good players but not all of them adapt for one reason or another, it's not an exact science.

Absolutely no objections whatsoever to signing Thauvin, if it happens obviously, we need as many talented players as possible to select from in the final third. Another player who creates and/or scores goals will always be welcome.The only frustration comes from the fact we're a pulled hamstring from being forced to pick Williamson. The positives he would bring would be immediately negated before the ink on the teamsheet is dry if we're still picking the players who have let the club down countless times in the past.

2 big decisions to make, both wrong, both going for Liverpool. The least a team should expect is a level playing field and a fair crack of the whip but Bournemouth have been totally shafted here. Game would have been completely different had their goal stood, they would have had something to defend and settled much quicker and been more composed, a 2 goal swing gained totally by the cowardice of a weak referee to give decisions in an even manner. It's fucking rigged.

Only a matter of time before Stones goes to Chelsea after seeing that. Exposed on a regular basis, 5 conceded already and playing catch up after just 2 games.

Early days yet, and I'm quite prepared to give the bloke 20 games as long as I can see a change in how we play, but he could do with a result sooner rather than later. The longer it goes without a win the more the pressure will build and that's not good for him personally.

They've not made any enemies in the top flight yet either. They're still everyone's favourite plucky underdog atm. That could change by the turn of the year.

Don't agree with McClaren at all but totally understand him trying to big him up publically. He's clearly trying to build the lad's confidence. Have no expectation of it working but can see why he's doing it.

I'd take a point right now but I don't think we'll get one. Narrow defeat but if we continue to try and play good football and move the ball around then I'll take it as a positive. Need to build on the encouraging signs of Southampton and not revert to type of we lose a few, it's going to happen eventually.
