Not forgetting when we let our hair down at spurs...or shipped 7 at Arsenal. Obviously.
  2. The age is the biggie obviously. If you're moving towards the latter stages of your career and you've only got 1, maybe 2 big contracts left to sign before you retire then I think it's absolutely fine to milk it and move for the money.
  3. Each to their own and players make decisions on what's important to them. If making as much money as humanly possibly is the priority then that's fair enough, good on them for being honest enough to admit it. Some players want to win things, play for the biggest (traditional) clubs in the most reputable leagues and perhaps be remembered for their contribution to the sport. Nothing inherently wrong with putting money first but personally I'd want to have the best career possible and money wouldn't be the priority.
  4. Also totally unable to earn a penny once they retire too. Need to earn all of the cash they're going to need for the rest of their lives before they give up the game aged 36. God forbid they move into coaching or developing their own academy or anything else like that as a means of income.
  5. I stand corrected, you're right. 3 automatic places is too much as it is from 1 league.
  6. Direct entry to the CL is already there for the winner and the runner up of the League though. Win it or go close and you're in, if you've finished 3rd or 4th then you've got to qualify to get to the group stages, think that's fair enough tbh. sometimes wish these pricks would just create a European Super League and be done with it. Loathing modern football more and more by the day.
  7. I think Man U are going to start looking elsewhere for a new boss if he keeps this up.

Enough's enough. Got to sack him if we want to stay up, that's what it's come to. You can spend as much as you like on players but if the manager can't use them properly it's utterly irrelevant. McClaren out asap please.

Staying up basically involves 1) staying ahead of Villa and Sunderland. 2) clawing back a 2 point gap on Norwich (or another team who start to freefall.) Not trying to dress this up as anything other than an awful season regardless of what happens in the next few months, it's been deeply disappointing but if it comes down to brass tacks then those 2 conditions are all it'll take to survive. I think we'll make heavy weather of it but I think we'll do it. If others only give us a 10% or 20% chance of doing that then that's up to them obviously.
  11. I used to doodle formations and write A Tribe Called Quest in my notebooks. At school i used to do AVFC with various degrees of slope where the right hand part of the A runs parallel to the left hand side of the V. I also used to draw the two tone records logo over and over, too. Geometric patterns, normally triangles and kites which morph into leaves.
  12. Probably when Stoke had two sent off and we put a few past them. That was the last time we had a numerical advantage.

    Seydou Doumbia

He's got a bus pass so a work permit shouldn't be a problem.

Who would you go for? Collins John.
  17. This is why I tell the boy they're all shit. Every one of them is shit. He hates Colback more than me, seriously.
  18. And now El Shaarawy scores with a ridiculous flick.
  19. Nainggollan scores from 15 yards out on his arse.
