  1. Missed off the fact that Newcastle lost possession due to a poor touch the most in the PL. About 15 times a game iirc. edit: Losing the ball through poor touch (per game) Reims – 16.5 Frosinone – 16.3 Palermo – 15.7 St Etienne – 15.5 Lille – 15.1 Highest Premier League team: Newcastle United – 14.3
  2. Last red shown to an opposition player was when Remy clashed with Johnson at Norwich and the ref sent them both off, that was January 2014. The last time we had a man advantage was against Stoke on Boxing Day 2013 when they had 2 sent off. I make it 11 red cards to our lot since the last red to an opposition player. I stand corrected, it's 12: Mitrovic (Arsenal) Janmaat (Swansea) Janmaat (Leicester) Williamson (Leicester) Sissoko (Liverpool) Coloccini (Everton) Taylor (Chelsea) Sissoko (West Ham) Abeid (Palace, LC) Williamson (Villa) Shola (Liverpool) Dummett (Liverpool, later rescinded)
  3. Would have loved it if Krul had gone a bit further and claimed/punched it but the angle it came from and the runners who could have got a touch on it made it really difficult to defend imo. It was just a bit unfortunate that came when it did and cost us a couple of points. I'd have taken a draw before hand and had we come from 2 down to get a point then I'd have been absolutely delighted. It was what it was,an encouraging performances with plenty to still work on. Take the hit at City next weekend and push from there, nice run of fixtures on the horizon but we've got to capitalise on them. Our run to Xmas will define the rest of the season, got to pick it up and get after teams and look to score heavily.
  4. We've had a dreadful start to the season but we haven't really had a good hiding so far. This will change tomorrow, I'll think they'll do us about 0-4 without getting out of 2nd gear.
  5. Non-league is where it's at. Far more enjoyable, far cheaper and far more authentic and competitive in the true definition of the words. I'd laugh by bollocks off if the PL imploded.

If love to be a fly on the wall at the training ground over the next few days. Sounds like it's absolutely toxic.
  7. 'I thought we had enough possession and opportunities... created enough opportunities and chances to score'. Really? Doesn't sound like it. It's almost as if he knows the games wasn't televised and he can try to re-write history as most wouldn't have actually seen it.
  8. Fancy Chelsea tbh. They may be a little bit too much for us...

Honestly think it could all be moot once the window opens. We look awful and it could easily be done and dusted by then. 'Ones with character' aren't going to sign for 3 or 4 years for a club heading for the Championship, the damage is going to be done during Autumn as it stands.
  11. The rest of the squad clearly hate him the lazy, fat French cunt.

Arsenal L West Ham L Watford L Sheff Wed L Chelsea L Man C L Cheeky cunt is trying to pinch Carver's record before he's got his feet under the table. I really wanted McClaren to come in and breath new life into the place, I wanted him to get out on the training pitch and make the players better, I wanted him to pick players on merit rather than reputation, I wanted a fresh approach to how we play the game, I wanted it to work but it's clearly no better and it's arguably worse and there are no signs of improvement. He has been given a chance and thus far it's been miserable, I'm not suggesting we sack him tonight but can anyone genuinely see him turning this around? It just looks like it's beyond him, may not all be his fault as the players need to have a look at themselves too but it's his job to manage them, motivate them, coach them and organise them and we look disinterested and disorganised. Ultimately he's responsible and if it's not good enough, which it clearly isn't, then he's going to come under pressure and be held to account. You can't let it go on forever and if the picture is bleak enough then he'll need to go. We aren't far away from that now imo.

I'm angry that I'm not angry any more. I wanted it to work, I wanted it to be different but it just....isn't. The club isn't worth any emotion of any kind any longer, what happens up there will happen regardless. I'll start caring again when those who own, run and represent do, could be a long while yet. Until then, fuck the lot of them, burn it to the ground.

If you're quick you can still get 6/4 at William hills

At this precise moment in time the writing is on the wall for him. In big, red, 6 foot block capitals. If he loses the derby then he's done, go directly to the Job Centre, do not pass go, do not collect £200, you're fucking toast mate.

Got to fancy City to go through now.
  17. Stealing a living. Sure as night follows day this fucker goes lame. If he was a horse he'd have been put down years ago, in fact just end the cunt regardless. He's of absolutely no use to anyone.

If I thought the squad had enough bottle then going to Sunderland and winning there could be a bit of a springboard. Unfortunately they're incapable of rolling up their sleeves and grinding a derby win out. I wanted this to work and I'm quite prepared to give him time to turn it around but it's looking less likely every week. There's only so much slack he can be given before big decisions need to be made. Dropped 50 big ones in the summer and we're in danger of getting cut adrift in the next month or 2, the situation could become untenable fairly soon.
  19. Can't see him risking anyone too important with Chelsea on the horizon. The absolutely wank start to the season means that the league has become the only priority and he'll play quite a few of the kids/fringe players. Can see us losing by a couple tbh, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
