Bleurgh. Absolutely evil, man.
-
I'll go for 3 x "lost his way at Newcastle" 2 x "enfant terrible" and several sly digs questioning his effort/work-rate in games
-
He finished 3rd, why are you complaining?

I want him to succeed, he seemed to make all the right decisions last year but unfortunately since the first international break this season we have been having all the bad breaks. In the games I've seen, we've not played too bad. We need to score, that's the problem he has to fix, either we're not playing to Gomis's strength or Gomis is not good enough, we haven't given Eder a chance to see what he can do. If we can scrap our way through this year and see what happens in the summer transfers I'd be happy, its risky though if Monk can't get the points on the board. Do you think he'll be given time to pull it around if results don't pick up a bit mate?

Mirallas never really seemed to get his shit back together after he took the pen off Baines(?) and missed. The other players were clearly angry at him and he's never looked the same since imo.
-
Didn't realise he was quite as old as he is. Had him down as 28 or 29 but he'll turn 31 in February. He's probably got one more big contract left to sign and it'll be interesting to see what he does with his last few years. The obvious rumour is PSG as Ibrahimovic is out of contract at the end of the season. Could possibly see it I guess. A chance to still be the top dog as he ages and score a shitload for his last couple of years. He's out of contract in 2018, will Madrid cash in on him before that expires? Does he want to stay? Does he want to see his contract out?

Agree but it would have been nigh on impossible to say no to Man U once they asked him. In hindsight he should have stayed put but can understand totally why he gave it a go. Didn't work out but it shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him with too much imo. He was always on a hiding to nothing following Ferguson.

I want him to succeed but Liverpool to fail miserably. I can't win or lose.

Definitely think a 3 man CM is needed. I'd start Anita (best of a very poor/average group) and tuck Sissoko and Wijnaldum in to make up the 3. Got to have Mitrovic which leaves 2 spots for the likes of Perez (got to start as much as possible), Aarons, Thauvin, De Jong and Cisse depending on the nature of the fixture. Until we address the CM issue and throw some genuine cash at it then we'll continue to support the forwards and defend the CBs. It's go to be the priority in January. We also need another CB and a LB too but they're not as much of a priority atm.

Well, not everyone...

I think last season proved that even when we look like we're actively trying to go down there's always a few sides even worse than us. We install Carver as manager who proceeds to go on the longest losing run of any Newcastle manager in 123 years and we still survive. We're dreadful and yet it's becoming apparent that there a handful of teams that, somehow, are even shitter.
-
Aye, as shit as we undoubtedly are, I think we'll match or better the points tally of the current bottom 3. We've got a 6 point cushion on Villa, 4 on Sunderland and we're a couple ahead of Bournemouth. Villa could pass us if Garde gets off to a flier but we could just as easily reel in Norwich, West Brom etc. Not trying to spin this as a successful season at all but I don't think we'll finish in the bottom 3.
-
Absolutely shit performance. It's a win but we still look awful.
-
Utter shite. We've had 1 opportunity in the whole game, thankfully we scored from it, but as a whole it's been fucking wank. The goal masks an(other) awful performance.
-
Got to go looking for the second one now. Can't sit back and just absorb it.
-
OMG! Jacky Lynchpin is out how can we poss...oh, just play Anita instead. Job done.

Dave Bennett was the catalyst behind that Cup season. Should've received a call from Bobby that year. Remains the last final won by a team wearing stripes iirc.
-
I thought I'd heard the story before. Amazing how folk still w*** off wanting him back at NUFC. Fucking hell. This is the mindset of a lot of our fans Lad doesn't graft, Pardew was right about him and dealt with him as best he could, despite everything we know about Pardew. It's incredible. Pardew played a blinder iirc mate.

Wonder what he'd say if say Neville and Savage both criticised the same aspect of Terry's game. Both of them say 'his legs have gone' is he going to accept criticism from one but not the other?
-
Garde is a superb appointment imo. Was wishing we got him in January but we went with Carver instead...
-
Must be the semi-final I assume?

RTGs gone a bit haywire tonight mind. Some are still in 'frenzy mode' after the derby and the adrenaline is still pumping through their thick fucking skulls to the extent that today's result still hasn't registered yet.

You can guarantee Howe will have had this game circled with a big red pen as soon as the fixtures came out in June. Newcastle (H) - the fixture every other club looks forward to. They'll have had it down as a banker win and I've seen little to think it won't happen tbh. I think we'll play reasonably well and lose 2-1.
