Was that Pearson? Fuck me, I'm that used to getting annoyed at Pardew for this bullshit, man. Ah christ man. I automatically assume any shit quotes in an article are down to him now - that's my default setting. Nnnnggghhhhh. Not apologising like.

“I am not here to be the players’ friend. “I am here to be the manager of the football club and it is my job to make decisions on what I feel is the best side to take on whoever we are playing. “We have the situation where, potentially, more players are unhappy because they are not involved, but that is a great position for us to be in because it means we have more players to select from and it gives us more options about how we set up." So you're accountable for the results and performances then you smarmy fucking cunt. You're the boss, the buck stops with you shitface.

There's that phrase again, "get that win". Win - singular. Win a game and everything will be ok again, the pressure will disappear instantly. As if 3 points at home to Leicester makes everything rosy again. Firmly believe they genuinely think the problems must of us can see don't exist. Fucking ostrich wankers.

The Warnock/Dyer thing rings a bell too. Remember hearing/reading lots of particularly nasty rumours regarding his health a few years back. It's a fucking horrible thing to do whoever it is tbh.

Point me in the right direction mate.

It would certainly send a message out to the fans. On the face of it the majority of home fans are giving the impression they're quite happy with things. There's the protesters who are trying to force change (fucking good on them ) and the rest seem ambivalent to what's actually happening in front of them. They're certainly not voicing their concerns or criticisms on any level. What else is Ashley supposed to think? He's under no pressure to swing the axe from the fans en mass.
-
Once the window closed on Sept 1st and Pardew declared how happy he was with the squad then it ceased to become Ashley's problem. The way Ashley runs the football club is a big problem, the way Pardew runs the football team is an even bigger one. I understand one has a bearing on the other but what we've seen on the park for months is 100% down to Pardew. The inherent failings of the football team are down to Pardew. This is his fucking mess and he's totally incapable of correcting it, he'll take us down unless Ashley acts.

Still get the impression that loads think we're going to be ok and things will turn. They won't, the future is now. “Things have to improve and they have to improve pretty quickly or we could find ourselves in a hole.” We're there Al. The hole was found some time ago and we're currently making a nice little nest at the fucking bottom of it. It's happened, past tense. It's going to get much deeper very quickly too. By the time the rank and file morons actually realise it, it'll be too late.

Think I'd have to go back to some of the better times under Eriksson for when I was last truly interested. Might be me tbf. Can't pinpoint the exact time of it but I simply couldn't give the first fuck about watching the national team any more. It obviously happened over the last 15 year or so because France 98 was special and I definitely gave a fuck. I gave a fuck when Beckham hit that free kick against Greece and maybe a few times after that. The 2006 World Cup was full-on dreadful, reckon I'd lost interest by then. Aye, I enjoyed the Greece game and the Germany 5-1. Genuinely struggling after that though....

Has watching England play always been this dreary? Seems like an absolute age since a really exciting, key fixture was played. Even the group games at the WC were shit.

Excuses won't matter if we are rock bottom and adrift of the pack. Fans will just stick their fingers in their ears and shout 'Ashley is the problem. What can any manager be expected to do with this team?' over and over. I'll raise you a "who would we get stuck with though"
-
Could that not be because how the team is set up? I don't see any players in the team looking comfortably positionally and one misplaced pass and the opposition is running at our defence whereas we have to grind teams down (doesn't happen) I think colback is a decent player and looking at performances one of our least problems with our biggest problems being a slow, positionally piss poor cb's (again pardew because they have such a high line for no pace), wingers that don't create, some players who don't care (sissoko) and strikers who look frustrated. The biggest problem is colback is trying to actually get on the ball but doesn't have the ability of cabaye so does a lot of simple stuff because he can't drive the team forward. Hardly worst player ever, just not world class What are his strengths? He only needs to hold his position and he can't do it. He never intercepts play he does slide people but it's chasing balls out of position. That's just basics 1. Good engine, 2. English, 3. works hard, 4. Geordie, 5. Grafts, 6. Canny lad.

One of the very few things I remember from my Law A level is that price tickets are simply an invitation to treat. Handing over goods with a total ticket price of £300, or whatever, letting them ring them all through the tills and offering a pound is completely legal. A complete waste of their time obviously, but it's not illegal iirc.

We're fucked regardless. Had more points on the the board, at this stage, the season we went down. We've had 6 really nice fixtures and taken 4 points from them. Krul, Elliot, it doesn't matter. We're about to embark on a run where we lose every single game for about 6 weeks off the bounce. The bloke picking it out of the net is irrelevant.

NI crowd giving it the ole's for each completed pass against the Faroe Islands.

I'm genuinely delighted for the lad tbh. No reason why a clearly talented player should have his career ruined by this prick, he took a bit of a chance on us when he left Montpellier and it looked canny grim for him in August but he's got himself a move and taken advantage. He'll go on to have a very good career now and he'll look back on being ostracised by Pardew as the biggest lucky break in his life. Good luck to the lad, hope he tears it up.

Wouldn't fancy us to beat anyone else in the division, home or away atm. We look woeful against mediocre sides so fuck knows what we're going to look like away to City and Spurs and home to Liverpool in the next 3 weeks. Even a win against Leicester keeps us in the relegation zone. Our tough run of fixtures hasn't even started yet and we're already playing catchup. We'll be down there all season and everyone saw it coming. The first half of the Malaga friendly confirmed that fuck all had changed, that was 3 months ago.

Notice the Daily Ranger go straight for his throat whilst our little fannies skirt around him. Our local journos have, largely, held back and some are still reluctant to have a proper pop at him because they're scared of him.
-
If people are still genuinely behind him then absolutely nothing will convince them to change their minds. It's looking grim as fuck and if sane people are still behind him to turn it around, and I believe there are loads of these type of cunts about, then it's pointless trying to reason with them. They're beyond help, as is the club in general.

Eventually you reap what you sow. We've conceded heavily and regularly for the last 26 months now and we've taken deliberate action to weaken us at CB by loaning out M'Biwa. If you're conceding 2 or 3 regularly then you're going to really struggle to win enough games to stay up. We're in the shit up to our necks atm and have no option but to persist with Coloccini and Williamson regardless of form or fitness, that's entirely the club's doing, not luck or misfortune, it's chronic rank mismanagement of the squad. The same players who've failed to perform for months still continue to be picked week in, week out. We're struggling to create chances but Ben Arfa and Marveaux have been moved on. The manager and the squad simply aren't fit for purpose and we're probably going to be relegated, it's not a knee-jerk reaction to a poor start to a season either, the failings of last season have merely continued into this one, it's not 7 games, it's 27 games now. It's pragmatism, we've had a nice start and still dropped 17 points of the 21 on offer so far, we're already cut adrift with some very tough fixtures to come in the next couple of months. We've still got most of the top teams to play twice in the remaining 31 games and we don't look likely to beat the worst sides let alone the better ones. Worst thing about all of it is the fact so many in the crowd either can't or won't see it. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. No criticism allowed as any pop at the club is taken as a personal insult. Too may are too loyal to these wankers, unconditional love/devotion/support of the club is actually harming it. Now is the time to be critical, pose questions and challenge the people making these monumentally shit decisions at the club. Ten years ago a manager like Pardew would have, quite rightly, been run out of town without looking back. The spirit has been broken, apathy reigns, too may quite happy to turn up at 2.30 and accept whatever shite is trotted out for them. Action's needed but even the ones who care the most, care too much. It's fucking criminal man.

Then if we finish 15th and stay up by 4 points, we'll all be expected to be stuffing our faces with humble pie. Already 4 points adrift of the next catchable team and that gap's only going to widen between now and New Year. Everton will shoot up the league shortly, discounting them totally. I'll say it now, we'll be in the bottom 4 or 5 all season and as things stand atm we'll go down. All of the ingredients are there for another relegation and the apathy is so entrenched that it'll be over and done with before the thick cunts even realise it. It'll be like "Shit, just checked the league and we need another 27 points from 17 games to stay up. We're not getting those. Oh well, never mind..."
-
We're wasting our time with this lot. Owner sees it going pear-shaped and refuses to act, manager is incapable of getting results and performances and players are quite happy to go through the motions and watch it all happen. Majority of fans seem totally oblivious/unaware of the situation and seem thankful we're making up the numbers. It's dead, it's just dead in the water and no cunt gives the first fuck. It's embarrassing.
-
Always maintained that the bloke is just a massive arsehole. His hardman image was a way of disguising it and some people love him but he's always been a cunt. Seems like his only was of dealing with situations is with aggression and confrontation. Utter tool and always will be.
