Agreed, I think Palace are just about an as easy 3 points as he'll ever get but that will only delay things for him. Also cranks the pressure up to get the win though, people will turn up knowing all of this and expecting a result and performance. Fall behind in the game and strange things could happen. Conceding first is normally the death knell for this team.

With all due respect to Danny I don't think he's quite good enough for us.

When he absolutely needs a result he normally gets one al a Cardiff last year. QPR x 2 and Wigan the season before that. Can see us pulling it off again against Palace too.

And how many we let in across that? probably 40 goals or something. Pardew thinks we need to be more defensive and rigid in shape across the whole 11 on the pitch to stop letting goals in, but we are leaking them for fun while failing to score in many of them. Saturday was only the 5th clean sheet since 21st December.

We had the better of it I think but certainly not enough to win. To have a hope of winning you've got to score and the only gilt-edged chance was the De Jong one at the end. Even then it was a regulation save for Guzman, it was blasted straight at him. The inherent problems running through the team that were present from January are still there and we're still showing the relegation form we've had for the last 20 games, it's not a blip or a bad run, and it's not going to get much better.

I appreciate his hard work and I understand how difficult it must be for him, as a former striker, to fundamentally change his game from scoring/creating to defending his FB but this is getting ridiculous. He's simply no threat any longer, this may be him playing poorly or the role he's been given but he looks a waste of a shirt and has done for quite some time now. I don't want to hate him but I do hate what's happened to him.
