I think it would be hilarious if Man Utd won the CL and Liverpool finished 4th and had to go into the Europa. Haven't they changed the rules now whereby even if a team outside the CL qualifying places in the league wins the CL that whoever in 4th place still qualifies? Other way round isn't it?

More options available in the summer window? Well that explains why we managed to sign only 1 player on loan in nearly 4 months last summer. The rhetoric is just disgusting.

Why don't Napoli play in light blue any more, even at home?
-
Can't wait to see the spin they put on them. 'Significant investment in strengthening the squad in January' = 'looked dodgy at the time so we did what normal teams do and actually bought some players. Go us, aren't we great?' etc.

Hope that diesel is tax-deductable. Sports Direct will pay for it, it's a great vehicle for the brand. That'll be a fucking first.

It's the day every football fan looks forward to each year. Bit like Christmas.

It's all about managing the fans and their expectations with Pardew and always has been. He'll mention the fact we probably won't sign him permanently in the summer more and more so the fans get used to the idea and by the time his loan expires the fan's expectations of seeing Remy next year will be zero and will therefore cause no upset/unrest. He's very quick to tell us what we, as a club, can't do. We can't sign top players, we can't pay big wages, we can't compete, we can't compete in Europe, we can't handle 2 games a week and we can't break into that top 7. The fan-base has heard so much negativity that it's become numb and de-sensitised to ambition. Some have been convinced that all of the shit that spews from all sources within the club that mediocrity is actually success. Not investing, under the guise of financial prudence, is something to be applauded. Stagnation is spun as 'stability', fan's apathy is actively encouraged and any/all ambition is to be crushed. Losing out on Remy is inevitable, they won't even fucking bother. They've got no intention of signing him and if Remy has an ounce of sense he'll not even consider the prospect.

Is that him? Jamie Pollock has eaten a walrus.

There was obviously a lot of relief in the dugout when Remy finished the chance. So much so it makes me wonder if the reports about him losing his job with a defeat were that far away after all. There's celebrating a late winner and then there was that little performance from the lot of them in the dugout today.
-
They won't be far away will they? If they win it they'll get the trophy after having destroyed us on the final day.

Type of thing Leeds and Portsmouth did.

If he's prepared to be a complete puppet and do exactly as he's told then he can't turn around and use it as a pathetic excuse when his squad is producing such rank results and performances. He's accepted the conditions he's under and is quite happy to run with - fucking deal with it Pardew. He can walk away from this club and his situation any time he likes.

You won't be saying that when we splash out 20 or 30 million quid, inclusive of wages spread over 5 year contracts. The first £20m we spend (stop laughing) this summer is simply the Cabaye cash. Once we spend the pittance we get when we have to move Ben Arfa on then we may, may break even. I'll be astonished if we spend that much though. The net investment will be zero or very fucking close to it. That's completely separate from the club being given it's slice of the largest TV deal in the history of the sport btw.

"nice little kitty there" We know the money's there you fucking prick, the willingness to invest it, sadly, is not. This is why we'll go backwards in relative terms.
-
What? Don't even think it was the worst miss of the game tbh.

Literally making it up as they go along. There's no vision or goal here, just keep rolling the dice and waiting for something, anything, to click.
