It'll just be like musical chairs for the rest of the season with any and all of the bottom 11 teams in danger of going down.
-
He's definitely improved in all areas since his move like. Could be the better coaching, the better players he's on the park with or just maturing a bit but he's ten times the player he was down the road. He was very, very ordinary at Sunderland and his current form doesn't change the past.
-
Now I don't tbh. Much rather he took them down and had to staple it to his CV for the rest of his dogshit career. Once they're down they can do what the fuck they want with him.
-
Worse? He's been laughably bad in this game and in 45 minutes has summed up his decline. Absolutely no way Gerrard should be playing/reffing regularly if Liverpool have aspirations of getting near the leaders. Slight adjustment.

Pardew's a fucking millstone to this squad.
-
Don't know how Pardew manages to function on a daily basis. The bloke is petrified of everything he encounters.
-
Sounds like we've surrendered the initiative. Bet no-one saw that coming.
-
Most pleasing. One more before HT wins this at a canter.
-
Got to convert one though. Missing chance after chance usually comes back to kick you square in the knackers.
-
The only way we're shelling out that much is we've already agreed a huge fee with someone for Cabaye. Essentially buying his replacement* before we sell. *may not exactly like for like but you know what I mean.
-
I don't get how though? We told him he'd not play and to find another club. I'm sure he doesn't need to be buttered up. Without being privvy to the actual conversations it's hard to be certain. Just telling the bloke after 5 years he's no longer needed and find another club asap without any explanation (if Jonas is being honest) just seems really harsh on the bloke though.

Shipping players out after they've served their purpose is fair enough, it's how things work. There's a certain way to go about it though and treating players like shit isn't it like. There's absolutely no reason why the player can't be shifted on whilst still treating the individual with a bit of respect, honesty and courtesy. Needs to come from the very top though and that's where it breaks down.

Maybe some managers are just inherently flawed and it takes some longer than others to recognise/accept it...

Number 1 only works Wednesday's.

Got Lyon-Marseille on and I've seen more from Gomis in these few minutes than I've seen from Shola in months.
-
Would love to see City go out tonight to an obvious offside Blackburn goal.

Had this conversation today. Blokes at work saw no reason to invest as we were safe but couldn't break into the top 4 or 5. The drip-feeding of "that'll do" coming from all aspects of the club has become ingrained. Top 8/9 is now universally regarded as a good season and job done. The PR dept have worked wonders on our fans. maybe they are thinking "get a good deal if there is one but we aren't despearte like this time last year" Granted but why can't they think "let's push on"? We treaded water in the summer so let's add a couple to bolster things and go for 5th or 6th? The money is surely there but the reluctance to invest modestly is more prevalent. 'That'll do' United Football Club.

This is the problem for me. I fear the big lads will simply wear us down over the course of the 90 minutes. They may not win everything in the air but their sheer presence will cause us problems. I don't think for a second that West Ham are a better team than us but if we don't deal with their strikers then we'll lose imo.

He did, only for them to agree to loan him to West Ham immediately! Looks like it's all but done. Potential for pairing 6'4" Carroll with 6'8" Traore up top against Williamson and Taylor. Don't like the sound of that.
