I think it was pretty much nailed on before Sunderland did the great escape, with the contract situation you can understand why we'd be keen. He's okay technically from what I've seen, but lacks pace for a top club. I'm not sure where he'd fit into our side though. The Cabaye role obviously. Even Cabaye didn't fit into the Cabaye role he was given at our club. What was it exactly, the 3rd defensive midfielder after Tiote and Anita? Quarterback. Pinging long passes to the lone striker marked by two defenders doesn't work out so well in the English version of the game. It's the role he was given. Not my idea mate. He was initially signed to control possession and the tempo of a game iirc. Feed him the ball as much as possible and let him dictate play - that was the plan that was sold to Cabaye.

Only problem with the new Barca kit (being really picky too) is the cuffs aren't the same colour all the way around. Either colour would have been good had they continued it for the back of the cuff too. To switch it halfway around seems daft. #gokwan

The tone and feel of the forum always reflects what's happening on the field. People are very fucked off and want/need to voice their anger/concern/criticisms on here as it's a message board. The Logout button's not hard to find if anyone is that sick of reading other people's opinions and that's always been the case. Ignore it and continue to scroll down or hit the button. Can't see the general mood changing much though...

Being good trumps nationality every single time. Not arsed about where he was born, who he's played for or how many fingers he's stuck up in a random twitter picture. I'm arsed because I believe him to be deeply average and yet another player signed because he's going cheap/free and he'll fill a gap. May as well have kept Perch ffs.

Bit of nostalgia:

Fairly sure a bid was made, safe in the knowledge it was so low that it was never going to be accepted. That way they got to claim they'd made a 'substantial bid' in an effort to con the fans into thinking we were serious. They're good at that.

Excellent piece that.

A job? Give him a mop, he can scrub the fucking bogs out.

Lazy, moody French cunt. Sell him.

Atletico. Good on them.

Bang. Game on.

Atletico close to losing everything here like. Lost 2 players, losing the league and losing their composure.
-
Polic getting brayed for absolutely nothing here. Well, until she makes a formal complaint anyway.

Would the €60m fine factor into the next set of accounts? As in, the money paid towards the fine be counted as part of their spending for the proceeding season?

Difficult to summon up any emotion about him really. He signed, he was generally pigshit and now he's left. The end.

No win, no fee.

f***ing class. Daft thing is that if people wiki the history of the club then it's probably a goer! In the summer of 2008, the club decided to finally modernise the stadium, the Stadion An der Alten Försterei (Old Forester's House). Money was still tight, and so the fans simply built the ground themselves. More than 2,000 Union supporters invested 140,000 working hours to create what is now regarded as the largest football-only stadium in Berlin. The official opening on 12 July 2013, was celebrated with a friendly against Scottish Champions Celtic F.C.. It holds 21,700 people with only 3,800 seats. The rest is terracing, because that's what the fans wanted. Fair play They were still short of cash so the fans got together and raised loads by basically selling pints of blood to the German NHS (or whatever the equivalent is called) to meet the shortfall. The fans pretty much run the club. Fucking superb set up.

I don't know anyone who supports him. I know a few who were prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt after last season but every single one now wants the prick turfed. Said it before but the worm hasn't turned it's doing fucking somersaults.

Yeah, if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. Full houses encourage them to do as they please, safe in the knowledge the fans will kowtow and accept whatever shite is served up every other Saturday. These people deserve exactly what they're about to pay to the privilege of getting. Mugs.
