  1. Germany one up in the Teutonic derby. Gomez.
  2. Nice thought but totally not true, professional footballers don't get their full whack of pay if they fail to make the starting XI. Think Wullie means he'd have to play regularly if those 3 got injured and he'd be found out. Nothing to d with collecting all of his wages.
  3. Now there's a shout. Never even considered that.
  4. Spurs getting shot of Gomes is fantastic business, even better if they've convinced someone to give them some money for him. Not sure how Friedel will cope but, for all his faults, he's still a far more solid and consistent keeper.

    Gervinho

By rights he should sign for Arsenal. That's the common sense move for him. I hope he comes here but if he goes to Arsenal then we can't complain really.
  6. Settle down? He said fuck off i die for no reason. Aye and you called him a cunt. Just calm down eh?

    Gervinho

You sign any player and chances are they'll miss as many games in a season due to injury and/or suspension. At least with this you know precisely when you're going to be missing said player. Exactly. I can understand the reservations from Pardew but it should never stop you from signing a quality player. It didn't stop them signing Tiote, did it?
  8. that team would just be stupidly good. Took about 10 minutes to decide who would partner Baresi, the rest picked itself tbh. Went for Costacurta (not strictly the best CH admittedly) because the pair of them worked so well together. Still couldn't find space for Sammer, Henry, CRonaldo, Zico etc... Great thread though.

    Gervinho

Considering the timings of the 3rd and 4th rounds of the FA Cup, the chances are that if he signs a 5 year deal then he'll miss about 3 league games in Jan 2012 and the same again in 2013. Who gives a shit? Get the twat in.

    Fucking deviants.
  12. Cash. Nothing whatsoever to do with football and everything to do with making money.
  13. Not bad. Completely unnecessary like but it's not bad.
  14. Enrique would bray 7 colours of shit out of Owen btw.
  15. Did he actually score more at SJP than Dyer? Can't be arsed to check.
  16. That's fair enough. I wouldn't want him here if he didn't want to be here so if he goes to Spain then I'm sure he'll do well. Move on to someone who wants to play for Newcastle.
  17. Can't understand why anyone would be happy playing a few minutes every month. He's only 31 and, as crippled as the little cunt is, could do a decent job for a team at a lower level. Playing for a decent/reasonable side >>>> training with a top team. Don't care how you slice it, that's exactly what this whiny little bitchcunt has done. Contributing zero and claiming some of the credit at the end of the season. It's clear where his priorities lie. It shouldn't annoy me but it does.
  18. No excuse tbh. They were a disgrace. Ref must have had 100 goats on 3-1.
  19. Messi plays for Barcelona, Ronaldo plays for Ronaldo.
  20. He is/was a model professional like. A few late tackles doesn't take that away. Ability aside, if all footballers had the attitude of Paul Scholes, the game would be infinitely better off. It has always puzzled me why 'boring' is an accusation often levelled at certain footballers, as if it means anything. It's partially the typical footballer's desire not to be seen to be boring, to live it up, that's turned them into such a bunch of money grabbing arseholes who don't spend enough time perfecting their game. Bang on Wulbert. Fucking great player who could just about do it all. Comfortable on the ball, could pass, great touch and technique, good vision, knew how to finish, found space and brought others into play. The only thing he couldn't do was tackle. He'll be a miss to the league but Man U will need to spend a fortune to replace him.

    Sam Allardyce

    Someone post that on KUMB.
  22. The list of strikers that Argentina have at their disposal is frightening. They should be looking to have a real go at the World Cup in 2014. Messi will be in his prime (if he isn't already).

The West Ham fans can't afford to be too precious about the type of football he plays. They've got to get promoted either this year or next or the few good players who've decided to stay will go and they'll have to do it with the kids. SSN have just shown the odds for promotion for their division and there are some big old clubs down there all scrambling to get up. Burnley, Leicester, Birmingham, Boro, Cardiff, West Ham, Reading, Forest, Blackpool, Southampton et al will all feel they've got a chance if they can put a decent run of form together. Going to be a very tough league to get out of next season.
