  1. Really? That is scary. 12 games it is according to .com You checked the trains for tomorrow?
  2. Please don't post football clips/highlight reels/showboats or any other such shit. That's 2 already this morning I've binned. The next one gets a week's ban.
  3. If they don't sort this thigh tear out it's the type of thing that could keep on returning. Especially if he goes out on the piss in Liverpool after games. Only a matter of time before some rougharse Evertonian brays him for mouthing off. Hopefully.
  4. Unite or capitulate. Got an inkling which one we'll see.
  5. Haven't read, discussed or listened to the local sports media for years. Wouldn't give a bucket of piss for their opinion tbh.
  6. Fair do's. Loads of sub-standard players too, though. Absolutely. Don't know how much his hands were tied but he definitely bought some proper spanners.
  7. Better than Batty and Lee? Thought he was better than Batty. Also bought Speed and Solano. It wasn't all bad mate.
  8. Purely because of the way he left or would you have felt this way whenever he chose to leave? The later. The club he's joined hasn't helped either like.
  9. I hope he flops spectacularly and is hounded out of the club for a tenth of what they've paid for him. Don't hate him, I just don't want him to have any success on any level.
  10. Bitterly disappointed to see him go but I can't say I'm that surprised either. As the bids got bigger and bigger they would have been harder and harder to turn down. This is the sport we follow though. Players come and go all the time but with him being a local lad it does leave a sour taste in the mouth but it's not the end of the world. I'm sure I've read that it's a British record and only 7 players have gone for more cash in the history of the sport. He's not the first diamond we've sold on and he certainly won't be the last. Pretty philosophical about it now. I think the main bugbear is the fact we're not sure if the £35m will be pumped back into the team/squad.
  11. If Xisco leaves on loan then it's zero risk tbh. The wages we'd shell out are roughly equivalent. One in, one out. The one going out has contributed zero but the one coming in might just click. No risk at all.
  12. Spurs are getting more desperate by the hour. Big bids being made and rejected for about 4 or 5 strikers in the hope just one of them signs. No rhyme or reason to who or what type of player they're after they just want a good striker and have left it til 30th Jan to show their hand. Hope they end up with no fucker and Defoe falls down the stairs and snaps his little legs. Shove Dawson up front like they used to do with Docherty.
  13. I bet a few of the big ones don't actually get confirmed until Tuesday. Aye, wonder if Spurs have the same 'technical problems' as they did in the last window. The technical problems being they hadn't fucking signed the bloke in time. Pricks.
  14. What a fucking atrocious offer that would be. Worse than the £23m bid tbh.
  15. So the cunt's not even fit? Fuck me.
  16. Hope he does well so they take him permanently. I'd already written him off so £50k a week and a couple of million saved is rather handy. No animosity to him as he joined the club at it's most turbulent and it was never going to work out for him here. Never mind.

    Chris Hughton

    Bet he's being really dignified.
  18. Bang on. A player like him comes onto the market once every 10 years or so. At the slightest hint he could move on then the really big boys will scramble to get him.
  19. His price tag is only going to head in one direction. Ashley knows this and has done the right thing. Under no illusions that he'll move on but I want absolute top dollar for him and £23m doesn't even come close to his potential cost if City, Man U and Chelsea start a bidding war for him. He's young, talented, English and offers something different to any other forward out there. He's priceless.
  20. If Pardew can get Ireland's head right then it's a great deal. If he can't then we send him back. He's got the ability and maybe a fresh start is what he needs. Worth a shot anyway.
