I hate that scoreline QPR (a).

If he adapts his game he could be a Crouch esq striker. He's quite tall. Comparison ends. His hold up play is decent as is Crouch's. Disagree. Can't fault his effort and enthusiasm but he's nowhere near the level of Crouch. And I genuinely don't think he ever will be unfortunately.

It's a tough one. He's not worth £4m and I don't think we'll get a better offer for him but I wouldn't sell him just yet. He's the type of striker you need to get out of this league but he's of no use to us if we actually go up.

They'll nail Birmingham tomorrow night. [/tempts fate]

The patchy number nine - reflecting on Oba's time at Newcastle

Hmm dunno, his skill and technique much like his shooting was incredibly varied, times he would dribble really well and show great close control, other times it was like he'd never kicked a ball. Read the first sentence again. You said his skill level was minute. In hindsight maybe 'minute' was a little harsh. I'll change it to 'tiny'. -

Very limited and inconsistent player. Had shit service for much of the time here but was very unreliable. Not much of a team player and frequently fucked things up for us on the break. Astonished we got our money back for him because he's not a very good footballer to be honest. He'll score the odd fantastic goal but his skill level is minute. -
I'm willing to say now, that Everton won't win the league.

The ownership of the forum, that's all I really want. It's yours for £502,744,164

What are you going to spend your winnings on?

Benfica were beaten 2-0 by Braga at the weekend. So fuck?

Only a fool would doubt Nixon's word on European football.

Bit of a moot point but the fact is that Rafa took Torres off while they were winning and they proceeded to lose the lead and are now struggling. Taking Torres off was probably sensible at the time but he'll come in for some flak tomorrow morning in the press for doing it. Journalists will have the benefit of hindsight.

Get. The fuck. In.

I hate Liverpool but that was unsaveable.

Problem is that there is a certain % of our support who would say "what are you protesting about? We're top of the league." or words to that effect. These folk are the same people who believe anything they read in newspapers and think we've got £20m to spend in January because they've "heard it on Look North".

I'd also love to see 500 fans march into SportsDirect in Eldon Sq and chant all of the anti-Ashley things they can think of. It would have to be peaceful obviously but it would get a bit of publicity. The more negative pressure that's created the better. It might take a month or a year or 2 years but there's only so much he'd put up with before he just got so fed up he flogged us.
-
Part of me wants some pissed-up radgee to have a right pop at Ashley on Saturday. Preferably the lunatic would be tough as sticks. Yeah, I'd like that.
-
The only consolation is that it sounds so absurd it's hard to even begin to take seriously. No-one will use it and it'll mean nothing.
-
It's my game though. 1-0. I'll be there too.
-
I think we'll twat them.

Harper made a couple of very good saves but Enrique's contribution for 90 minutes was fantastic.
