  1. Looks like a really really poor player. Forget settling in at a new club, he's shown absolutely nothing to suggest he can cut at this level, let alone the one above. I know he's just signed and he's finding his feet, new systems/tactics (stop laughing), different training, blah blah blah. The rules of the game haven't changed, he's been signed to score goals and he currently looks a million miles from doing so. I'd peddle him to whoever is daft enough to sign the useless twat.

    Pundits Predictions

    Tidied up a little.
  3. Depends entirely on how much we spend and who we bring in this summer. Some days I watch us struggle and think we'd come straight back down....on other days I think we could do what Birmingham have done this season. If we buy 4 really good players and keep the majority of the current squad fit for the majority of the season I think we could finish about 12th. If we don't bring those quality players in and/or pick up a lot of injuries then we'll probably go down. I'd like to think we could shift 35,000 - 40,000 season tickets for next season which should boost the coffers to spend a bit. We all know who calls that shot though.
  4. F**k me, just seen the goals fro Weds night. If we can play with that confidence every game we'll be ok. Carry that into next season will give us a good start. Some quality football in those short highlights. Agree with the sentiment but it's got to be remembered how much time and space they gave us to knock it about and create chances. We're kidding ourselves if we think we'll see opposition as poor as that next year. We might not see a team as poor as that for decades.
  5. And forfeit millions and millions of pounds in the process.. I know it's only a pipedream btw.
  6. Revert back to calling it the European Cup and only invite 2 clubs (max) from the league champions from each european league. Make it a straight knockout competition with no seedings and no country protection. If that means Man U draw Real in the first round then so be it.

    Own Up

    C'est la vie...
  8. He'll be Mourinho's first signing at City this summer. The cost will be irrelevant.

    PROMOTIONOMETER

Absolutely nailed on to go up now. And to be honest I'm not that arsed if we actually go on and win the league or not. Automatic promotion at the first attempt was the aim at the start of the season and we've virtually got that wrapped up with 10 games to go. The title would be nice but it's job done as far as I'm concerned. Well done lads.
  10. Won't get an easier league game than that for the next 50 years - seriously. The 2 teams looked at least 2 divisions apart, which is exactly what we will be in a few weeks time. I'm all for smaller teams making things difficult but this lot were poor. Like really poor.
  11. We won't even be playing. Forest will drop points and won't be able to catch us.
  12. They have several players who drive/dribble into the box at pace at force the defenders to make mistakes. It's not a coincedence tbh.
  13. Most important result is Forest losing though. Fuck West Brom it's Forest who look like they're dying on their arse and every loss they suffer is 3 points less for us to get to go back up.
  14. Been the same for years though hasn't it? And to be fair, it probably happens in the other box too. ...and it'll keep on happening until the refs grow a collective set of bollocks and start giving pens on a regular basis. No change is needed to the rules, just be brave enough to enforce the current ones.
  15. Is Eto'o playing with rollerskates on tonight? Fucker can't stay upright for more than 2 minutes.
  16. Carroll will fuck him up.
  17. Without wanting to start all the shite up again......wonder what NUSC's take on the events of the weekend are? Issues like this are where they need to speak up and ask the authorities what went wrong to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    PROMOTIONOMETER

With our goal difference situation, Forest would have needed 4 wins more than us whether we'd won or drawn today. 11 points would have been massive though. I must be the only one who doesn't give a shit about winning the league. Seeing the likes of Smith, Butt and Nolan parading the trophy around the ground at the last home game would be a bit wierd seeing as they were the ones who took us down in the first place. They would be righting a wrong but it wouldn't be anything to get carried away with. Smith only started 4 games last season, and Nolan 10 in a new team, so not sure why you're singling those 2 out. Why not pick on the ones who played 20+ games like Coloccini, Enrique, Taylor, Gutierrez & Guthrie. I chose those two (and Butt) because, by and large, our CM is the most disappointing part of the team. The others you've mentioned are also playing well nearly every game whereas the standard of Smith's and Butt's play hasn't really improved. At least the likes of Coloccini, Gutierrez et al have looked like they're playing in the wrong league this year. I could also have picked on some of the wankers/wasters who left last summer too but Smith, Nolan and Butt seem to be classic examples of the malaise on the park over the last few years. Slow, immobile, plodders signed for biggish money on lucrative contracts who are going through the motions. Nolan is partly excused because of his goals but his overall contribution to games is pretty negligible. I take your point though.
  19. anyone thats good with photoshop could put a big mac into each of those open palms. he actually looks in decent shape their, probably took the photographer 100 shots for it They say the camera adds 10lbs. I reckon there's about -3 cameras pointing at him on that shot.
  20. An underachiever at international level & particularly at major tournaments. I'd go along with that too.
  21. He's not a legend like. He was a very good player from 1997 til about 2005. No more, no less.
  22. Everything he's done for the past 3 years has been geared towards ££££££££££££££££££ tbh. Bingo.
  23. He was always going imo. The main one to benefit is Walcott. Bet Routledge's ears pricked up when he heard the news too... Did he have a bet on Beckham getting injured like?
