  1. Each ridiculous decision that club makes just seems to compound the failure even more. Misplaced loyalty to some followed by generous backing followed by complete (relative) failure, followed by choosing another dud, hiring dodgy DoFs only to have to turf them out month later, replacing the last failure with someone even worse, backing them with a quarter of a billion only for the new DoF to fall out with them and sack the replacement's replacement. That club is a fucking shambles, a complete mess from the very top to the very bottom It's fucking delightful watching it collapse and burn to the ground. Again. And again

    Jacob Murphy

You can see he's trying his best but his general play was awful today, couldn't get it under control, lost possession, dwelt on it too long, couldn't get his crosses in, struggled to beat his man etc. He kept going to his credit but his numbers are going to look horrendous in May. He's not got Isak on the end of things this season and hasn't built that relationship up with either Wissa nor Wolt yet. He looks a bit of a passenger and a really poor footballer atm being brutally honest

    Malick Thiaw

Been absolutely imperious for us all season tbh. Looks solid, quick, reads the game well, strong, good on the ball, picks a good ball into his CM, covers his defenders and chips in with his share of goals too. Looking like an utter snip at 35m

    Dogawful Officiating

I'll take it back then, I honestly thought the VAR still stopped the footage. Still think the ball looked a fair distance from Bruno's foot as they paused it mind So if it's described as "semi automated" then what part isn't decided by all these cameras? That process sounds more "fully automated" to me

    Dogawful Officiating

Thought the official stopped the footage a couple of frames too late, definitely looked like Bruno had already played the ball and was already in motion. It's a mm obviously and still may have been offside if you pulled it back a few frames too, I'm happy to accept that - it's when you see other teams (those cunts) get away with offsides where he's blatantly got his foot offside and they come out with this 5cm horseshit and allow it anyway. The whole thing needs ripping apart, take humans out of it as much as possible or take technology out of it, the 2 combined just doesn't work and it's not a level playing field, the badge on the front of the shirt still matters if humans are involved and it's a hill I'll die on
  6. Signs it's starting to click a bit and we're largely now picking up the points we should be picking up. Thought Murphy was horrendous and that hindered the whole team. Virtually every move down the right broke down when he got involved and that meant we had to favour the left. They realised this and shuffled across quickly and it was all a bit clunky tbh. But it's another win and we're creeping back up there and also have a few favourable few fixtures to come too, we need to keep it going though as the league is still so tight, any slips now mean we fall back another 5 places. Need to keep the foot firmly planted down, no let up now
  7. Watkins 1-0 Absolute raker
  8. Yeah 'onslaught' was a bit ott but I'm assuming Howe knows Ryder well enough to know he's got the IQ of a fucking spoon and had to lay it out for him to understand We were far better than Burnley but we did have to ride out a spell of pressure as they went for the point. They're at home and it's entirely predictable they threw bodies forward looking for a point, they just weren't good enough to get the goal and we wrapped it up late on, no dramas. It was a welcome, but unconvincing, win against a poor side who'll go down in May
  9. Aye, I had to be careful how I phrased it because I've not watched the reply I've just read it and I'll happily accept your view of it - although I do think Klopp is an utter arsehole so his answer doesn't necessarily help
  10. Aye, change the word "onslaught" to "sustained pressure from the home team chasing as equaliser" and it's not too far from the truth. Howe's reply reads as a bit prickly mind. He's not exactly throwing the players under the bus but it could, and will, be interpreted by some as Howe blaming the players for not executing plan A better rather than looking to mix things up a little? Maybe? Who knows
  11. The Fotmob momentum thing is generally pretty accurate imo. 7 big chances created too - not sure what constitutes 'big' mind
  12. To win 29 points from just 20 goals is some going mind, not sure how sustainable it is. They're grafting like fuck tbf though and every shot seems to be blocked or saved. They're working hard, being tough to beat and riding the momentum to the maximum, just don't know how long it lasts though, I sense a regression to the mean is now long overdue
  13. It's simply about protecting their assets, the football barely matters, it's just what the assets happen to do now and again, the money will always be the king at that club
  14. It's from an insta reel where a bloke claims he's seen all of the Adidas kits and goes into more detail about villa. As he's waffling on he's got all of the other kits in the background for each club. Screenshot and zoom job imo Like this:
  15. Textbook definition of an "unconvincing win" last night. Looked great for the first 20 mins, created chances and scored and looked really lively then as soon as we dropped the levels we concede and it's a slog for the last hour. Not going to dwell on the issues too much and just take the 3 points and look ahead to this run of home fixtures - we absolutely must pick up some points at home now, we've fallen into the pack and need to fight our way back up that league, there's a lot of teams we need to leapfrog and that's only going to happen if we string 4 or 5 wins together. Still not sure last night told us anything we didn't already know but it's relief more than anything that I'm feeling this morning. Need to back this up with 6 more points from Palace and Leeds now, keep it as high energy as possible, convert the chances and win those games, big opportunity to claw back some of the points we've thrown away in the next few weeks
  16. Phoned it in yet again. He's a fucking lazy waste of space, lowest of the low in that he decides before the match starts if he's actually going to fucking try or just pretend to. He's an absolute cunt, fuck him off asap, he's as much of a snake as isak is/was
  17. He's had the opportunity for months but it still looks fucking shit and a bad as ever (relatively speaking). He's clearly not fixing anything, he's not in the process of pulling this around as the issues that are clearly there today were there months ago. The football team - and by extention, Howe - look clueless and incompetent as soon as we leave NE1. Sorry, but that's on the manager, he rises or falls on the fate of the team and is been fucking woeful, he's already had months to try and fix it and we're no better off. It's harsh and I don't want him to get sacked but it's looking more and more likely with every performance like the one tonight
  18. He does but it's been going on for months now. How long is the leash? It's definitely not improved since October, we don't get to decide how long he has left
  19. Genuinely think that pulling this back around is beyond him right now. I love the bloke and want the very best for him but he's looking a bit clueless out there. His players are letting him down to some degree but he's calling all of the shots but watching us is tear gas stuff. It's utter shite and the inconsistency between home and away performances swills away the whole "we had a poor window" nonsense. The same squad decides to show up for some games and hides 4 days later. That's not a transfer window issue, that's a management issue, don't buy it for a single second, it's an easy card to play to defend a manager who can't get consistent performances from his squad - it's harsh but it's also true
  20. Just more of the same, it's just utter pigshit more often than not. No threat, no chances, no heart, no guts, no confidence, no idea and the weekly shocking defending or goalkeeping. I'm not surprised at all at this point, I've seen it so often that I just expect it now. Fucking rank away from home yet again. Misguided loyalty to Gordon yet again, same mistakes yet again. It's not bad luck if it happens every single fucking time
  21. This away form/performance is going to get him sacked unfortunately. We look toothless and clueless and it's not unlucky if it's happening again and again and again. He just doesn't look like he can fix it this time

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Problem is that the only place who could afford him and want him would probably be the Saudi clubs. And we all know that we're not going to be allowed to bank any kind of decent fee for him as it falls under that related-party stuff, the rules simply wouldn't allow us to do it even though other clubs do. It's rigged
