  1. He's fast, he fasts, his legs are not in casts, Demba Ba, Demba Ba.
  2. As long as "trophy signings" doesn't translate to "strikers, because they're geet expensive and that" then fine.
  3. Like "I'm not being funny, but..." "I'm not racist, but..." and "I'm not saying my mother-in-law is fat, but..."

I don't understand! How come these players don't look as interested in playing in a Sunderland strip as they were in a Man U strip? How come O'Shea isn't looking as solid behind Elmo as he was behind Giggs?

Sunderland might be learning the same lesson we did about buying cast offs from big clubs and especially from Man U. Fergie seems to know when to sell a player. How many players that they were happy to let go (rather than the likes of Ronaldo where their hand was forced) have gone on to be any good?

Need to put their pile of medals in front of the goal.

Spotted this in another thread. Check the comments http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2015127/Sunderland-busier-rivals-Newcastle--Northern-Exposure.html
  8. Changed his fucking tune, the fat twat. Don't worry, it'll be "Hahaha, Newcastle thought they were going to get into the Champions League" soon enough.
  9. 48 before bonus points. http://alltheragefaces.com/img/faces/png/obama-not-bad.png
  10. Today: "Yohan, Yohan Cabaye, everyone knows his name" (While he clapped the fans, shirtless) "You let your city down"/"you only sing when you're looting" Can't remember what tune we were singing Demba Ba to, his name fits into just about anything.
  11. Just got out the ground and into a pub, really enjoyed that. Again, kept fighting and didn't let our heads go down. Been Shola's harshest critic but he was great when he came on. Either side could have edged it and you can't say we didn't deserve that result. Crowd was great as well. Obertan was crap. End transmission.
  12. Captain RVP paying dividends already
  13. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_7245181,00.html Harry Redknapp admits he is surprised by the level of abuse Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has received from fans ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's game at St James' Park.
  14. He's a doubt and Mancini has hinted he won't risk him.
  15. There was a game I went to at Anfield in the 90s (just before the Kop was changed to seats) which had that kind of atmosphere. Their fans were singing Blaydon Races, we were singing You'll Never Walk Alone and when we left the ground there were some scousers waiting outside and shaking our hands as we went past. Never really seen that before or since, it was a bit odd. EDIT: Just had a thought, it was about when that Liverpool dockers stuff was kicking off, so I guess it could have been some solidarity between the two regions over that.
  16. Three doubtful for me, Schezeneznery, Abebayor and Aguero, who I stupidly brought in for Rooney when we were told he wasn't going to play. Wondering if I should throw a curveball and get RVP in and cap him. If he tears the mackems a new one I could steal a march as long as Rooney does nothing.
  17. Maybe Liverpool could suggest some kind of league where the top clubs in Europe play each other in games which get enormous TV coverage and thereby give them a load of money that's not available to the lower clubs in the league, on top of all their extra merchandise, gate receipts etc?

Maybe they could appeal to the league to over-turn the result based on who was the better team on paper? Like a pools panel decision or something?
  19. There's a certain kind of fan (and I use the term loosely) that's the basis for this kind of shit. I don't want to sound elitist or bigoted about foreign EPL watchers - there are fans of clubs, even the big clubs, who are completely genuine in their support. But some of the people I've seen on non footy forums, fucking hell. There's a Canadian guy who started off in the football thread on a forum supporting Man U, then supported Barca in the champions league final, then decided he was a Chelsea fan and a Man U fan, then he became a City fan after some of their 5 goal demolitions this season and last I checked he had a Liverpool sig and a Suarez avatar. This is within the past year. In spite of constantly going on about the Premier League and football every day, he remains completely oblivious. Today he referred to Newcastle as "NCFC". For these guys, teams outside the top five are an irrelevance, they're there to be the Washington Generals to the big clubs Harlem Globetrotters, their purpose in life is to let a £30m Galactico skin five of them and deftly chip the flailing keeper so they can whoop at it like a fireworks display. Attempting to play in a manner which might get you a point against these teams is akin to foul play, spoiling their spectacle. The idea of supporting a club when they're shit is just completely alien - why would you reward failure? You remember when big name wrestlers didn't fight each other until the pay per view events and on a Saturday night you saw Hulk Hogan or the Ultimate Warrior walk to the ring in a 10 minute display of fireworks, music, facepaint and posing to fight a guy called Jake Johnson in blue trunks, whose job it was to take each and every one of the main guy's spectacular moves and make him look great? That's what every club outside the top five is to a large percentage of people who watch football worldwide, Jake Johnson. Any of these clubs getting uppity and wanting to do things like holding onto a good player for more than a season once in a while when he could be making one of the big clubs even more omgawesome is being a spoilsport to these people. And that's why stuff like the Liverpool plan or Man City's grotesque display of wealth comes about, because to a certain breed of football fan, that is what football is all about. We might think it'll ruin the league but for many people it's giving them exactly what they want.

As if the national media gives enough of a fuck about Sunderland to have it in for them.
  22. What does Morgan Freeman have to with with South African football? That's Will Smith you racist!

    Sammy Ameobi

Shola? So quick? Brilliant article though. He was faster then the average racist in Newcastle in the time, guess that was most important for him. Shola Amobi - faster than a fat skinhead in Doc Martins. Could put that in his Michael Owen brochure next time we try and get rid of him.
