Heard Cacapa described as a black Titus Bramble the other day.

I've no idea what to think anymore. It would be a destinctly uninspiring appointment and a sickener to miss out on a good foreign coach but it also means we don't end up with Bruce or McLaren. If he'd got the job straight after we got rid of Sam I'd have been furious but as this fiasco seems to be barreling along the Shitcreek Express Line en-route to its terminus at St Clusterfuck Station paying Blackburn a fortune for their mediocre manager again would almost seem like a relief.

Fucking hell, he looks like a bad guy off Dr Who in that photo.
-
Right, I'm not opening this thread again, it's too terrifying.
-
I like nufc.com putting the Samaritan's number in their report. Reminds me of The Mag (Or maybe Talk of the Tyne/Toon) giving away a free suicide pill for if we went down in the season before the Premiership was formed. Caused me to get fucking twatted last night that match, can't even remember walking home. Hope they're happy.

We should have been 1-Nowt up at half time as well
-
That or appointing Shearer may be the only way he'll still be able to sit with the fans in his Smith top.
-
"In the process of choosing new socks for Chris Mort, we have identified a number of potential candidates. "This is a very important appointment - our first since taking control of the Club - and we will take as long as required to make sure we choose the right socks. "Those socks will be a pair we believe will be able to deliver style, comfort, warmth and durability. "We will continue to devote our time to the very important task of selecting the socks and we will make a further announcement when appropriate."

An on SSN they're saying we only want someone connected with the area in charge.
-
You never know, Man U may go into this match complacent, Pearson may play players in their default positions in a standard 4-4-2 and we might suddenly find ourselves playing all right.
-
Slow mo black and white toon montage with sentimental music on SSN now of the Keegan years, geordies crying etc, then ending on a shot of 'Arry. Looks like an obituary.
-
Can we keep griefing those cockney cunts now 'Arry's turned us down?
-
Do you think Ashley and Mort actually know foreign managers, their records, availability etc? Their footballing knowledge seems limited at best which might explain why they just seemed to go through the league table looking at how teams had been doing and if they had a manager they could poach. Or even just thought "Who were that lot who scored 3 against us in the first 10 minutes? That's the kind of football the fans want."
-
Fucking clanger by Mort and Ashley this, first big test and they couldn't have make a bigger bollock of it.
-
So if the option is an experienced manager of a lower calibre than Redknapp or Shearer/Keegan which would you go for?
-
On the plus side, all the ITKs who put thousands on Redknapp on Betfair are fucked. Redknapp says he's never spoken to Ashley, just Mort.
-
Going to end up being Shearer now I reckon, we'll have a look at the remaining options and they'll all be dire so he'll have to ride over from playing golf in Barbados as our knight in shining armour to save the day. Can see it ending in tears but fuck it, it's got to happen some time. Unless we spank Man U 5-0 in which case Pearson will get it.
-
I didn't want 'Arry, but unfortunately I very much doubt Ashley's list went Redknapp Mourinho Hitzfeld Hiddink More likely Redknapp Toothpaste Ready meals Milk

How relieving, embarrassing, exciting and very worrying this morning is.
-
First reaction: Second reaction: Oh Sweet Baby Jesus and the orphans, if that was our go-all-out-to-get first choice what the fuck is our second choice? And now we're desperately scrambling around for a manager like when we sacked Robson. Dickheads texting Sky Sports talking about how now we might now realise we're a small club with ideas above our station

Scored more goals too last season. Harry's still the greatest attacking manager the Premiership has even seen though, he's like Keegan on acid. Apart from at home. Trying to factor in the acid, but struggling at the moment tbh. More research needed, obviously. He's like Keegan after having his face melted with acid, is that more accurate?
-
5th with West Ham, 1998-99. Ah well, that's OK then. I'll give him 2 matches instead of one
-
Is it worth pointing out that Sam obtained a higher league finish with Bolton than Harry's ever had? He's never finished higher than 8th, has he? EDIT: Before we get carried away by Pompey's spellbinding attacking football bear in mind he's not scored in his last 4 home games and likes to play 4-5-1...

If it's been a wild goose chase to lower expectations then it's worked a treat, I would have been livid with Shearer or Keegan yesterday. At this rate I'll be celebrating McClaren's appointment.
