Surely if it takes us 8 years to realise he's the wrong choice we must be doing OK for most of that period? We realised Roeder and Souness were wrong choices pretty sharpish thanks to the fact we were playing shit, getting shit results and in a shit position.

To be fair it's his third coat, only worn for European trips or if there's a colour clash with both his first and second coats.

Jesus fucking Christ, imagine what the ones that weren't good enough to make the cut were like...

New home kit on the last home match was the best worst part of last season tbh tbh Wearing a new strip is worse than, say, losing 5-1 at home to Birmingham or throwing away a decent lead to be knocked out of the UEFA cup?

Any suggestions Terry Mac and Lee Clark's new titles? Knob Joke Co-ordinator and Head of Geordification Development?

What has Kieron Dyer ever done for England? There was the aquaduct...

Fucking hell. They who made it must of been drunk while using illustrator or whatever program they use... Sounds like it was a team effort by Brummies, probably drunk http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/mail/news/tm_headline=&method=full&objectid=19031570&siteid=50002-name_page.html If only 42% of fans voted to replace the striped background shouldn't they have kept it?

Sounds excellent on paper but our previous attempts at buying Chelsea cast offs haven't been great...

We're talking about Sir John Hall and not St James Holdings, right? This could get confusing now I come to think of it...

Still the best we can get at the moment, don't think he's going to do us any harm and may well do a lot of good. If we end up getting loads of class players and looking like we might actually win something, thus have Triple-A managers mooching around looking interested, then give him a payoff, no harm done. Or roll him in a carpet and throw him off a bridge.

At least it would mean the end of the fuckwit in the east stand who keeps shutting his fucking turnstile, making eveyone in that queue go to the back of the next one, then opens it again 5 minutes later causing a mad rush.

Has he got the dog like?

Not with Carr still here, no.

That's a cracking quote that. "Kevin Doyle is worth £15 million at least" - Kevin Doyle.

Do you think he'd get much of a look in though, or just be wheeled out to play against Brighton in the Carling Cup? Considering how Manure has shit for strikers at the moment, he'd probably get quite a few games if not start regularly. If the season had gone 10 games longer, they'd probably have been forced to play Dong Fang Zhou for pete's sake. I was sort of working on the assumption they'd get more people in during the close season to solve their striker crisis than just said FAB, tho.

Get both Diouf and Barton in. Tell Dyer if he doesn't play well Sam will tell them both he called them a puff.

Fair enough asking him (although dunno if it needs to be done so openly) - If he's willing to give us a proper season fair enough, if he's going to mope around kicking his heels, trying not to get injured, and waiting for anyone else to come in for him with his agent cunting around stirring shit with the press and trying to get him out then I'd rather he went now for 9million rather than work part time for us then go for £4m at the end of the season with another years wages from us in his pockets.

Just been on the news headlines that they're furious about not getting enough tickets and because they're going for two grand each. Cheeky fuckers, couldn't give them away for the semi!

Mourinho, He lost his dog you know, He lost his dog you know, He lost his dog you know...

I'll be walking past around that time on my way back from work, but I wont be standing around with my top off with BIG SAM written on my chest in marker pen gurning into a Sky camera if that's what you mean.

Mildly optimistic. Actually, call it nervous excitement because I really feel it could come good and at least take us in the right direction (which, while not making me as happy as powering towards the top four or winning silverware would certainly make me happy and be a welcome change from spiralling further and further into depths of mediocrity). Of course you learn not to get your hopes up because we could sign Ronaldo, Gerrard, Terry and Henry and they'd all lose their legs in a coach crash on the way to the first game. And that's where the nervousness comes in, the fact that even though I genuinly think Sam is the right decision from the available options it could go horribly tits up.
