  1. Fuck off with this Bellamy talk. Jesus jumped up christ I'd say I can't wait until he retires so the mong brigade on here would shut up about him, except then they'd start dreaming up ludicrous scenarios involving luring him out of retirement just to play 15 minutes every other game so they could all wank each other off and sing praise to the heavens about him being the best striker in the world ever. NOT HAPPENING. EVER. > > :tickedoff: > >
  2. I tried not to cry when frodo left I really did
  3. i really really think you should find that article blueyes.gif It's around here somewhere, I think I filed it under B ... can't remember for what though.
  4. I can't find the article but basically he said something about building the entire team around an attack down the left side, spearheaded by Luque.
  5. Chez bloody hell it's not spelled out but it should be simple enough to deduce. Allardyce was brought in, pre-takeover, for a lot of reasons but high up there was his prudent spending. This would have seemed to signal an end to our high spending days. But uh oh, here comes Mike "Moneybags" Ashley. Dave expresses concern that we will return to our overspending ways. Incorrectly so in my eyes as Allardyce won't be swayed by it and doesn't seem the trophy signing type in my opinion.
  6. Strangely I still think our front 6 is a long way from being sorted. If it stayed the same today though, I wouldn't drop Owen just to form a 4-3-3/4-5-1. Stick to the 4-4-2 at least at home with something like Zog - Emre - Barton - Milner behind Owen - Duke. Away go with the 4-5-1 sure.
  7. You are blind...Sorry mate... Emre has talent and can create something out of nothing...He didn't have a consistent last season but that's due to many reasons, one of them having Roeder, long spells on the treatment bench and the racisim accusation against him...Under Sam Allardyce I am hoping that things will improve with less injuries and players wanting to play for a manager who knows what he wants from his players...I think we should give Emre the chance to shine because deep inside there is a lot of talent there than can unlock enemy defences... agreed never thought I would say this, but Emre is the best candidate for captaincy A bit too far. I'd pick Butt, Taylor, Solano, Given, Owen for starters ahead of Emre.
  8. "Here's Magnus "the Magnusator" ver Magnusson, set to lift a wheelbarrow full of smaller Scandinavian men, all of whom are also named Magnus. You know, John, this event really puts a strain on the thigh and back muscles, the so called 'Magnus' group of muscles."
  9. Who will we be the new? Wait that doesn't sound right. Of whom will we be the new? No, still not there. Of whom being the new will we? I give up haha shut up, you know what I mean Certainly do, I just couldn't figure out how to phrase that question without terrifying images of my grammar teacher appearing before me.
  10. Who will we be the new? Wait that doesn't sound right. Of whom will we be the new? No, still not there. Of whom being the new will we? I give up
  11. low demand, limited market, no return on investment
  12. Viduka makes a lot of sense as a stepping stone to better players -- he'll help with the rebuilding and (hopefully) get us in a better position to attract better players.
  13. I'd rather newcastle be a bankrupt club in conference north than anyone make a penny off us! grr!! rarr!! stupid posts!!!
  14. No Ok, dig this up when you need to....Martins will never be as good as Anelka or Henry but he will become slightly better than Bent. If they both stay his partnership with Owen won't work. Thank you for having balls. my final analysis: Martins will develop into either a world beater for us or for someone else after we flog him off for £20m
  15. So have people decided that he's the finished article/can improve already or is anyone avoiding making a definitive statement for fear of being quoted on it years later?
  16. This will be a consolidation season, they've already said that. Right, the reason I mentioned that is that if Martins has indeed said he wants to leave for a CL side he'd be waiting there as well. More chance of them getting back in it in the foreseeable future than us mind but I don't think he'd leave.
  17. Juve just got promoted, they won't be in the CL for another year at the least. No telling how they'll compete in Serie A this year tbqh.
  18. zero quotes, zero credibility, zero truth. God bless The Sun.

surprised at releasing him? I suppose they're shocked when they wake up every morning to find the sun has risen.

    5 released

Is that actually up for debate? Joyous fucking day for me.
  21. I think we give a lot of leeway to the zog because of the circumstances at the club, first under the deplorable souness where he actually shone and then under gormless glenn where he was dropped for duff etc, but honestly both his play and his attitude have turned shit recently and as much as I'd like to blame those extenuating circumstances the truth of the matter is the blame lies firmly with Charlie. He needs a boot, or ten, up the backside. I don't so much mind Shepherd spilling a little of it in public though I hope whatever devils that are in the details remain private.
