    Dan Burn

Dan Burn is a model professional, he was never giving any other answer in a press conference while on international duty.
  2. Matchday income is pretty irrelevant in the big picture, ticket prices will go up but not to a ridiculous level IMO. That Athletic piece about his hiring has a table with revenue breakdown. Our matchday income in 23-24 was £50.1m, ’big six’ average was £105.3m but Man City and Chelsea had only £75m and £80m. New stadium with better corporate facilities should take care of that difference. The room for growth is the commercial income, our £86m is tiny compared to the ’big six’ average of £274m. City with their cooked up deals are at £344m ffs.
  3. Maple Leafs/Raptors, Real Madrid and Knicks/Rangers. Looks a really good hire on paper.
  4. Nordic countries showed a 3pm first division/PL match every Saturday from late 60's to late 90's. Our local BBC's bid for the rights together. That's a very simple reason why there are so many fans of English teams here.
  5. Dyer was good when fit but I don’t think he was good enough to be shoehorned into a position he rarely played when there are other good options.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Schär had quite a few iffy games last season but Burn just seems to get better and better. Right now I would say we can confidently rely on Schär through this season and Burn for the following season too as he doesn’t rely on his pace at all. Burn probably has some specialist value for a long time too. Bringing him on while defending a lead deep and I can’t see him not doing well basically ever.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

His foot got stamped when he was jumping for a header Rod ffs.
  8. Surely either Solano or HBA are ahead of Dyer at RW?
  9. It's just empty PR talk and I can't believe how often the quotes are brought up here. They are not going to say 'we hope to make Newcastle an upper midtable team in the near future and hoping their valuation goes up while making the public image of Saudi Arabia a bit better in the process'.
  10. I voted 8. Considering the circumstances and how bad it looked just couple of weeks ago we did a fine job salvaging it in the end. Squad has much more depth and we should be able to handle the CL campaign much better now. Isak's behaviour really cast a shadow on everything we did but the Wilson replacement should have been done much earlier in the summer. Woltemade is exactly the player profile we should be buying and I don't think anyone saw getting someone like him possible after all the other young strikers had chosen other clubs. Wissa fee is ridiculous in a vacuum but I'm completely fine with it at this point of the window. Sometimes you have to overpay to keep the wheels rolling and he really raises the base level. Also takes away some pressure from Woltemade and gives him time to get used to a new league. That £55m wouldn't be any good for us next summer if we had a poor season due to limited attacking options, which could lead to key players like Tonali and Tino wanting a move. Having both Wissa and Woltemade means we should be fighting for the CL spots again as the squad is pretty stacked in other positions.
  11. Canny but I would make few changes. Tino as first choice RB and the light green on Bruno #6 and Barnes feel really harsh.

    Sven Botman

Don't be so hysterical, goodness me.
  13. £10m+5m, no idea what the addon was but hard to see the terms fulfilled Don’t know how it works after a big sell though.
  14. We need to buy more young players like Minteh and Osula. It’s a cheat code against PSR with basically no risk involved.
  15. Was supposed to be Friday but Palace played in Europe this week.
  16. Think Arsenal have been impressive considering they are missing Saka, Odegaard and Eze.
  17. Kerkez really struggling with Madueke.
  18. Looks fine to me considering it’s basically two backups and Gyökeres.
  19. You don’t have to look at those, there’s a ”coloured” area and grey area, it’s onside if all the body parts you can score with are on the grey area.
  20. I didn’t understand that still photo of the offside.
  21. Burnley look certain for one relegation spot.
  22. VAR redemption, they made a right correction despite contact!
