    Dogawful Officiating

Thought he was alright but I went WTF when he blew the whistle at the exact 99 minutes. Could’ve booked more of their players but he was pretty consistent with those as we had none.

    Match Atmosphere

Was probably the loudest the Leazes got during the match. Was my first match at the Leazes and we really need a safe standing section somewhere on the Leazes. Strawberry corner is great and that L7 corner really tries but feels like they are too far apart to get all the stadium joining in. Also surprising how little of the Strawberry corner you can really hear on the Leazes. People (including me) were joining in on the ”Stand up…” and few ”Eddie Howe’s black and white armies” but those felt the only times the stadium was really loud. It’s never easy to try and get anything going alone (I’m certainly not able to do that or even willing to try) but so many around me joined at least briefly for those few louder songs. Thought Everton fans were poor for the first 60 but woke up after the disallowed goal which simultaneously made us feel a bit nervous.
  3. I thought it was always going to happen when they have fresh legs to bring on to their midfield against our lot who just played on Saturday and have literally one player on the bench who we can bring on. Just needed that second goal or Dummett not being stupid to take all 3 points. Incredibly frustrating result but I don’t think there was anything wrong with our performance as a team.
  4. Thought it was a good performance ruined by some poor finishing and Dummett’s Wrestlemania moment. Burn’s disallowed goal and them bringing in fresh legs to their midfield took some wind out of our sails and made it a bit iffy in the second half but felt we were still pretty comfortable before the penalty. Frustrating result but we win that 9 times out of 10 even with all the injuries. Burn was probably the MotM, was colossal. Wish we could give Longstaff a rest but doubt it happens this season, some of the crowd is really getting on his back and I can’t really fault them.

    Paul Dummett

Were those his first VAR minutes, can’t remember if it’s used in the early rounds of League Cup? If so, someone should’ve told him it’s a thing now. Was absolutely ridiculous, you would be extremely kind to give Young 0.01xG on that spot but he turned it into a penalty.
  6. Wouldn’t exactly be a surprise injury though when he had to be subbed off couple of days ago?
  7. Thought this was a good point, technically they are both fouling and usually the one who screams louder gets the foul. Really tough situation for referees and I don’t think VAR should overturn any decision in these spots. But considering how ridiculous their second goal was, this felt like justice. PS. Not a penalty nonce.
  8. What a day! Was hugging with strangers after the 3rd and 4th, absolute carnage. Read through the whole thread and thought Burn wasn’t getting enough praise, think he misplaced one pass all game and was pretty much perfect for the rest of it. Hall looked really good too but West Ham just giving up on attacking probably helped him. Both penalties looked soft on highlights but Gordon is so fucking good at getting his feet in there right in time to to get those penalties. Can’t blame him for taking advantage of the rules.
  9. I had a great view of the first goal and he was pretty much standing on the spot where Antonio took his first touch when the pass was played but for some reason he backed off meaning it was a simple finish for Antonio. Pretty confident Pope saves the second goal too. Pope is a massive miss right now, the back up for next season has to be someone who is confident sweeping those through balls.
  10. Yeah, there’s no logic in thinking that an addict would just stop betting after getting a move to another club and country. IMO it would be more likely it just gets worse with all the changes in life and added stress.
  11. Shame I'll miss this but will be in Newcastle between 28th of March and 3rd of April. Would be interested in any meet up as I'm coming alone once again and don't have really any plans outside the West Ham and Everton matches..
  12. He changed the fucking formation for this game ffs.
  13. We are playing away against the best team in the world ffs. Was a fine half, just incredibly unlucky with the deflections.
  14. 0.71xG (majority of that after 2-0 down) isn’t bad against Man City and we had one good chance and some promising attacks ourselves too. No idea how someone can criticise Howe for this. Willock closes down Silva properly and Botman keeps his head away from the ball and it’s 0-0.
  15. Willock gave him way too much space to just walk in to the box, wrongly positioned.
  16. No idea how Thuram wasn’t sent off in the age of VAR.

    Anthony Gordon

Yeah, I would be happy if he gets chosen as a reward for his form over the season. He’s not going to play 2 full 90 minutes in any case and there wouldn’t really be that much more strain put on his body compared to if he stays with our group. Just the mental boost he would gain would IMO make it worth it.

    Anthony Gordon

It’s definitely genetic, some people just don’t get injured no matter how much load they put on their bodies. We are lucky that some of our most important players like Bruno, Gordon and Schär seem to be like that. I know Bruno had ankle problems but that was just bad luck.
