The folk who rattle on and on about how VAR works perfectly in every other country want to see the penalty Dortmund have just been denied.

Always enjoy a bit of Ian Darke.

Real Madrid getting thrashed off Girona.

I've got @Kid Icarus and @Disco down for tickets, anyone else fancy it?

Leeds never had particularly good players but they had a shit load of aggression and energy, especially at home. Doesn't seem a particularly good idea to knock that on the head.
-
Wouldn't surprise me if this is the reason, it's not obvious at full speed with the normal cameras from distance (it is an absolutely blatant handball seen up close). Leeds needed to be complaining about that much more to make sure it was checked.

If you thought we'd lose a total of 3 games all season, in the nicest possible way that's completely delusional, so that's on you really, your expectations are ludicrous. If I could be bothered, I'd look up how many teams have lost a maximum of 3 games in the history of the Premier League, I bet it's less than 10.

You can use transfermarkt to see very quickly a player's potted history (the red and green arrows on the right hand side are subbed on and off): https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/darren-ambrose/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/4086/plus/1?saison=&verein=358&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= That Wigan game posted by Yorkie is the only occasion in Ambrose's Charlton career (in fact it's the only occasion in his entire career) that he was subbed on and then withdrawn. He might have been brought on to take a free kick, impossible to know, but the rest is just bollocks.

Always have a pedantic compulsion to find out whether these kinds of things actually happened. It didn't.

Still only 33, that's mad. He was dynamite with Suarez for a couple of years at Liverpool.
-
It was an absolutely stonewall penalty, Holding kicks Jota in the calf.

He's the turd that won't flush Lampard. Never shown in any job a single credential to be a Premier League manager.

Wonder how good the editing is at The Athletic. Did they make high profile editing hires or have they just hired well-thought-of writers and let them basically get on with it?

Of the current crop I find West Ham interminably dull.

That was an outrageous performance. 2-0 is ludicrously flattering to them.

Southgate's England and their complete inability to beat top international sides even whilst beating them have become kind of meta now, it's a self fulfilling loop. "They've never beaten a good side!" Beats Germany and Italy "They are rubbish, they must be, even England beat them!" And round we go again.

Are you talking about a Newcastle game here? If not, this was a high profile example of exactly that.

Your avatar looks like his dad's lost the plot.

What an opportunity for Napoli. They're miles better than any of those three.

They've already got Fat Sam ticked off.

This is such a problem for Serie A. So many games feel so lifeless, more than once I've caught myself thinking "is this behind closed doors?" because you can watch for ages and not see any supporters. A lot of the games are like watching Birmingham where they've had that main stand opposite the camera closed for years. Verona are one that I always notice, you can see when they score that there's loads of people there, with flags and flares. But that's the only time you see them in the game, the rest of the time you could be watching a midweek National League game.

Got to be one of the most underrated players in the league.

It's an absolute stonewall penalty and red card. I'm still slightly flabbergasted.
