So yes, he will appoint a top class manager, as long as that person agrees to be his slave.

Just like Pardew's thing is that he goes on vast runs of barren form, McClaren's is that at the top level, his teams will always be complete shite away from home over a season. His aim will always be to pick up enough points at home to stay up. If you're happy with that, keep praising him to the heavens every time we win a home game against a mid-table side. But don't expect a change on the road.

What a bizarre example. Kazim Richards has played in the Champions League and Europa League for several big clubs, which he wouldn't have done if he'd stayed in the English lower leagues. It also improved his international prospects playing in his 'home' league.
