Jesus. They never ever learn do they? What is this obsession with long contracts?
-
Guess who else you said this about Ian? Anyone who takes the job is instantly tainted by association, this is why the club can't go anywhere without a clean break. He'll be utterly reviled by Christmas, and the cycle repeats itself.

Where? The only real Pardism I detected from the Sky interview was "... at Derby, we was on course..." ... Oh God. “When he [Mike Ashley] did the interview before the West Ham game,” said McClaren. “When he came out with drive and determination and focus and talked about the objectives he wanted to achieve, he said it with such verve and vigour I think everybody was convinced, everybody was rejuvenated by that."

Already licking Ashley's hoop in interviews I see.

As often is the case it's an unorthodox decision. Most of the time Ashley thinks he's the cleverest man in football it turns to shit. I can't force myself to see any positives at this point, it would take years of sustained progress to even begin to turn me around. I feel so cynical about everything to do with the club that I probably won't even know until August whether I actually want us to win or not. I've never liked McClaren as a man or a manager but tbh I don't think it would have mattered if Remi Garde or Pep Guardiola had walked through the door. I'm that beaten down that I just want Ashley to fuck off and I have little feeling for the whole thing beyond that. Feels shite but I can't just turn it back on like a tap.

They'll spend a fair whack like. They've left themselves no choice.

That isn't quite correct but not far off... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/11447225/Revealed-the-Premier-Leagues-fittest-player.html Running around a lot isn't any indication of whether somebody is good Well by the same token it seems it doesnt do Matic any harm and most would love him here... Rather have George Boyd.

"St. James' Park is like a cathedral on a Saturday afternoon" He's right there like.

Forget about how it looked to the naked eye.

I've never swayed on this like, it's better that Carver and Stone are gone but who gives a fuck. A thoroughly underwhelming appointment that will achieve the fat wanker's aims and nowt else. If the football's a touch better then great, because I've wondered for a while why I watch it every week now. Still thoroughly disinterested compared to previously and that interest will only decrease while we voluntarily tread water, and this decision's very much part of that. Exactly how I feel.

Kieran Westwood Not only is he a superstar midfielder, he's also great in nets.
-
Hmm, according to this, maybe he was: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/footballleague/article2314731.ece Didn't think my opinion of Freddy Shepherd's ability to pick a suitable manager could get any lower but you live and learn.

Pretty sure they are well aware of it already but don't have the teeth to do anything about it.

He thought Boro was a better bet than us 11 years ago...on the back of 3 top 5 finishes. When was this? Have I missed something?
-
They must have made an absolute packet from the Madrid game that finished 0-0, probably enough to pay for the whole thing for ages. I got mine back by laying elsewhere but that's no skin off their nose.

I'm up not far off two grand from that offer since the start of the season, and I've probably only won on about 1 in 5. Fucking love it.
-
Going on like Man City weren't a right load of shite when Richards was 17.
-
Saying he kept Birmingham up is outrageous like. They'd just finished 4th when he took the job, and have just finished 10th after sacking him when looking again to be in real trouble.

Had my in play 50 on 3-1 Barca, got it on straight away which is a good thing given the early goal. While I think its safe to say I got lucky with the last second 3rd, I couldn't believe my eyes in the 10-15 mins previous to that seeing Barca fuck up countless opportunities. Slightly ironic Neymar, who was the main culprit, ended up making me money. Had 3-1 to the home side in both of Barca's semi final legs, glad my instinct came through for once! Well done Wullie, what you have? Had 3-1 at 14s, but also a fiver on the same score at 20s on 888 as they were doing a double odds offer. My missus had 2-1 but cash-out disappeared with about ten minutes to go (the sly dogs) so I covered with £50 on Juve next goal to guarantee a profit of about £250. Ended up with £750 profit and a sore head today.

Just won £800. Can't breathe.

I usually go for a multi scorer when Barca play and every time I've done it one of the three has scored twice but it's never the one I'm on. I'd be on Messi but he's only 4/1, doesn't really tempt me that much.

Aye. Your best bet would be to cover yourself elsewhere pre game with £4 or so on 'no goalscorer' to match your £50. At least then you have £50 to spend on any bets you want in game knowing your original outlay is safe for a minimal loss That's what I meant earlier with the first half goals, that's the cheapest way to cover, will only cost £2.50. I know some people aren't bothered about a couple of quid difference but I am. Plus I usually cover for the missus so it costs me twice anyway.
