  1. I think this idea that a team doesn't play their best player because he might get injured is a bit overplayed. If PSG or Arsenal really want him, they'll buy him, whether he plays and gets a knock, or gets a red and is out for 3 games. Hell, we took on Remy with a buggered legs, and he's only here for a short while. It is rare that a player will pick up a serious injury that will keep them out for several months in the game just before his move, but the chance is there. So why risk it? I think it's simply more of an issue for the player wanting the move than the selling club, or the buying club. In this case I'd suggest that Cabaye has more reasons to step out of training and games, than the club itself choosing to sideline their vice captain.

  3. He should at least be training, whether or not his head is right for games. He doesn't even appear to be doing that as far as we can tell.
  4. Whey, not until he moves to OM on a free. Awesome news.
  5. That happens with everyone who deserves a good welcome when they come back for the first time. I was the only one I know of who was crying. Fkn'ell.
  6. It seems to come down to wages mainly. You can't increase your wage budget over a certain amount per season, I think it's roughly £4m according to Gold for West Ham. This doesn't affect you if you're a club with a tiny budget, then you can go up to something like a £50m ceiling any time you like (for when you get promoted etc). This means a club can spend any money they like on transfers as long as the wage bill isn't increased significantly. Therefore Real can spaff as much money on buying Bale as is necessary, they just need to make sure they clear space in their wage budget for him. It should work because it effectively limits a club from bringing in a ton of players without losing a few in the proccess. The downside seems to be that it is based on where you stand currently. For instance, we couldn't go out and and match City's wage bill, we're stuck where we are now relative to them. /Disclaimer - That's my undertanding of it at least. Could be bollocks.
  7. Well stick Santon in then. Looks fine in the training pics.
  8. when does the official site put up (inspirational) pictures of training before match days? Should be easy to spot. His head's been turned so he should look like that lass fae The Exorcist. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/News/Gallery/0,,10278~3430222,00.html No Cabaye fwiw. Who's the first pic, number 37. Satka with a haircut ? Yar.
  9. No Cabaye, no Remy yet, but good to see Good and Satka training with the first team. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/News/Gallery/0,,10278~3430222,00.html

  11. Fkn 'game plan'. Sounds like the 'game plan' is to fuck off to the south of France and hide until the window slams shut.
  12. It'll be subjective from club to club in fairness. But surely a club that averages a finish of 8th is worth more than the same club 5 years later that averages a 14th place finish Why? If we have the stadium and infrastructure in place, and have a squad that apparently should be aiming for top 6-8 with a half decent manager, why would it matter to a new owner if we came 16th last year or what we averaged in the past?

I'd like to think she just meant she'd slap him so hard his twat'd turn Scottish.
  14. David James Graham ‏@DavidJG80 7m KINNEAR HAS DONE IT! He's made par on the 8th hole at Matfen Hall! #timewellspent #nufc @NUFCOfficial Who's that? Smells like bullshit if Matfen hasn't upped sticks and moved to Manchester.
  15. Ahhh, Andy... yer my beeeesht mate! Nom nom nom....
  16. Maybe, but when you almost go into games expecting some idiocy from the players, that for me is also a clear reflection of the manager and his coaching staffs mentality.
  17. As decent as he looked at Swansea, wouldn't it be better if we had a left footed player on the LW? Yes. That would be nice.
  18. We did get £10 million for Bassong, the Enrique fee is the only one that looks out to me from going through the full list. Don't believe it, if we're going off of figures in the press, the majority said £8m. Anyway, the point's moot because we have no real idea, much like the article which is basically made up shit. All that matters is is the current state of the squad, and if we have made a profit, what that remaining money is spent on or whether it has left the club.
  19. Has to be something already agreed if you're whacking another £30m on Willian I'd have thought. Or have you got the money for these guys anyway?
