Although admittedly i've not seen him play i like the idea of Gomis. Strong, athletic, young, with people in football labelling big things for him, calling him the next Drogba. In fact if you think about it, i doubt Drogba was making these kind of waves at Gomis' age. Like i say, the idea i like, but i've no real clue about the player, but if KK signs him for around £10m then i reckon he'll be just what we need.

I'm not sure. I think we should concentrate on getting in quality players who can make a difference. However Barnes is worth a look at for his ability in the future. The lads got something, it needs someone to unleash it. Bullard is a good player, but he's a London lad and won't be leaving again, and i'd only take him as squad filler, which at his age and after that injury is exactly where he doesn't want to be. Jussi still on a free? Might be worth it to challenge Given, hopefully it brings out the best in him next season. But really that's about it.

I think SWP is very realistic given his relationship with Keegan. and the fact he's a bit part player at Chelsea. Think it would do him the world of good to play for us. 37 games for Chelsea this season. 27 starts. To Frank Lampards 29 games. Baheng. Very unnecessary, LuaLua was fouled when he was clean through, and Baheng runs over there after the free-kick was given and talked and shoved his way to straight sending off. They are young, they'll learn, positive is at least they are looking after each other...i suppose.

Ermmmm, Nicky Butt is 33 and he's been absolutely outstanding the last few games as a defensive midfielder. 1st time he played well all season, can't see it continuing for long, possibly for the rest of the season, after that? Sorry like, new DMC time, while Butt covers for the last year of his contract.

Apart from this season he's been average in the top leagues. I also cannot see him working well in this league, massive gamble imo I'd rather take a gamble on someone like him than go for proven mediocrity like Dean Ashton. I'm not putting forward Dean Ashton, never have since he left Crewe, that would be the only time i'd have went for him.

Saw Krul in Sea on Saturday night, seemed canny enough, not sure if i spoke to him i was mortal, can't remember the last couple of hours of the night.

I never saw a winning mid containing Barton, Butt & Geremi, so well played KK for finding that and sticking with it. All three have really impressed me in the last few games, i'm delighted with it.

Eh? Apart from a shaky first (part) season at the club after he was first signed (on deadline day iirc) Peacock was class under Keegan for us. He (wrongly imo) got stick for the supposedly dodgy defence (another myth) which cost us the league according to lazy hacks. The only defender i've ever got excited about while doing something on the pitch which requires defending (as in not scoring goals at the other end). His goal line clearances were amazing. I wonder how his short leg is doing these days?
