  1. Do you think this is the end of the changes? If not then there is no point analysing seating arrangements just yet.
  2. Isaksson Richards Dunne Onuoha Ball SWP Appiah Reo-Coker Drenthe Saviola Owen Terrible team, piss weak left hand side, injury prone midget attack. So you happy he's in? I think you should be, especially if he brings along Tord Grip for the ride (the brains of the outfit).
  3. Wow, loads of different stories and shit here, can only favour Sheff Utd in the hearing!
  4. I agree, this compensation news has changed the picture a lot. For starters, we could buy a good player committed to Newcastle even before his transfer fee. We could and buy someone like Tevez, a young top class player with his whole career ahead of him. He should really now tell us exactly what his intentions are, although the silence says a lot. The club will know however, and if he wants to go they should actively seek to offload him asap safe in the knowledge that we haven't now lost so much money. That would be like every Christmas and Birthday coming at once, if Owen goes for £9 million and we get £10 million compensation then we could add another £5 million as a first bid. I've seen figures mentioned about him going for as much as £34 million but that seems way OTT. That's the thing that puzzles me. If a monster bid comes in for Tevez, who gets the money? Do West Ham actually own him? Was that ever cleared up? Suppose Real Madrid come in with £30m, will West Ham have that cash to spend? WHU get less than 10%.

Could be the signing that changes this club, but i doubt he'd come here, unless he sees further into his own future than i give him credit for, but i doubt he'll stick around his current club in the capital, we'd have to pay a huge wages for him, and it would right now be same old, doing what we did with Owen.

We've (you & me) discussed this monkey on our back before, and the inevitable kick in the teeth when we offload him or when he decides to jump, but now its a total different scenario, a one where, ok, we can't say we've done well, but take into consideration £3.5m of his fee was money owed, the £10m we've just received of the FA, and the £9m at the least were going to get if he moves, its very much a case of it doesn't matter anymore. Most NUFC fans didn't want to lose Owen mainly due to getting egg on our face, some wanted to keep the quality of the guy, which there is no disputing over, but injuries, wages, form and contract length suggest off loading him now is a sure winner for the club, and with the extra £10m, we can not look stupid for doing so. Yes it could of been better, but i've said in another thread, Liverpool let go a younger, fitter, faster on form Owen for £8m in his final season, come this time next year and he's still here, we haven't done too bad, if he goes this summer or during the winter window, we've just got to buy correctly this time, and buy a striker that isn't a luxury, and a one that is committed fully to the club. Credit where credits due, FS getting something right again in his final days. On a bit of a role, shame it took him 10 years (Although we'll no go there)

Michah fuking Richards would cost £15m+ before a takeover, and see himself as a CB FFS! Let it go man.
  8. Yeah, in 2003 Del Bosque only managed to win them the league. The fact that he didn't win them their 3rd Champions League in his 4 years in charge aswell was a more than adequate reason for sacking him.. Ridiculous club. Laughable decision, and i wished them to never win owt again, worked for some years, they deserved it imo. But this isn't the 1st time, in fact this isn't the 1st time they've sacked Cappello after he won them the league (According to SSN's, i don't remember that time tbh)
  9. Got to praise Barca's reaction to losing the league on the last day of the season, go buy Henry for £16m straight away, while releasing statements they are keeping with their manager and will spend to improve. Madrid win the league for the 1st time in years and are looking to sack their manager! (not the 1st time they've done this either)

We should move for him and Fabricio Coloccini in a joint bid, throwing Luque back the other way. Both players are quality, would be our CB shopping done for the season (along with rozy) No chance Depor would sell both though surely? They will sell, they need the money, they already sold Arizmendi to Valencia and Capdevilla has also left. Just about to say the same, they are really strapped for cash. Also the fees reported for the pair in the last 12 months are very low compared to their level of ability, makes me wonder why neither have been snapped up. (Although their president is a right fuker isn't he?)

  12. Griffin was a RB, last i heard he was at Stoke, being injured as per usual.

Apart from Sagna, not really, and that's only since he favours a move to Arsenal. £26m ish, with £7m clawed back from Parker & a £15m (reported in the press before Ashley came) budget already to work with, its not too optimistic if you ask me. In fact, thats about the level and amount of signings we need, a couple more back ups (to get rid of Carr & Baby) would see me very happy going into next season.

Two questions that got nothing to do with this thread. What does IIRC stand for and what does ITK stand for? I know ITK is some sort of a internal source giving news on chat board, my best guess is Internal Transfer Knowledge? Welcome to the forums

Not sure, its not the footage they've shown over and over again (which has some chavs standing at the door) It also looked pretty crap weather, which it is.
  16. Have Barton take him out when we play City next season as well, something like that Parker tackle on Joe Cole couple of seasons ago. Spin motherfucker, spin. I could live with that.

I am happy enough, Sam obviously rates him and Seville & Dortmund are hardly European minnows. I suspect if either of those clubs really wanted him, they would've got him by now. I've had a thought SA is wanting this guy in 1st before going for his main, bigger and expensive CB target. (wishful thinking?) Makes sense to get the guy who could possibly be playing backup in 1st, then also the next selling club know we have a player in and cant hold us to ransom.
  18. We should re-sign Martins, and i think we will. Owen really doesn't have us over a barrel anymore, not with the compensation money, i'd imaging we'd want rid of him now as much as he wants to leave, only no one is coming forward as a buyer. I hope it is Citeh, they'll end up paying £12-14m as well, we'd be laughing if that happened.

Finally arrived in Newcastle according to SSN's.

Hope he does well, loads of ex toon players up there doing fantastic IIRC.
  21. Excellent news, i hope someone comes in for him for him for £9m now and we can go look for someone else who's committed and most certainly cheaper.
  22. He's taking this internet buying too far imo.

    Alou Diarra - Equipe.

I like the sound of him, big, strong, athletic, just what we need in the centre alongside all our midgets. The dodgy spell at Liverpool and the not so rosy season at Lyon are my only doubt to a rather high £5.5m fee. I know Lyon paid about a million less than that a year ago, but i dunno, some doubts, but not many. Could be a good addition, as long as were getting defenders in and this guy is just being bought early on due to others interest then i think we've got a decent option in mid if he arrives for next season.
