It may well be, but it has only just emerged on Eurosport's website. I have deleted my original post. I think, not 100% though, its old news re-hashed, but its just typical of this deal, everyone saying something different. Nowt would surprise me.
  2. Ultra defensive there like!
  3. They really don't like the guy do they? So is the money borrowed then? (that's why i posted it up as someone was asking the other day)

Isn't this 3 day old news? Don't say were going round in another fuking circle with this guy.
  5. Not when Bent is worth (or going for) £16m. Agree about Anal though, really negative towards the kid, the cunt should get off his back and enjoy the good moments instead of laying all the troubles of NUFC at a 21 year olds (who's just left from another Country, played in a shite team with no fixed striking partner who's manager has the tactical awareness of a haggis and the management skills of David Brent) feet.

Click for more City specials! Thai authorities are to examine the funds Thaksin Shinawatra is using to buy Manchester City. The former Thailand Prime Minister has agreed an £81.6million deal to buy City even though concerns have been raised about the takeover. Earlier this month Shinawatra's bank accounts in Thailand were frozen following an investigation into corruption, and the powers-that-be in his homeland are now keen to learn the source of the money he will draw on. Shinawatra was required by law to declare all his assets during his time as Prime Minister, and none of the declarations disclosed any foreign assets. Thai Finance Minister Chalongphob Sussangkarn admits he is mystified by Thaksin's latest venture, but has promised to uncover the truth. "This money which would be used for Manchester City is still a mystery to Thailand, so I cannot tell where the money will be coming from," he said on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum on East Asia conference in Singapore. "I am sure the Asset Examination Commission will look at the source of these funds and try to see whether they are legal funds that were taken out or by other means. "If the deal goes ahead and the money is paid they will try to look at it. "We don't know yet how he is going to finance it. We won't know until the deal is finalised."
  7. I honestly think he's already starting to lose his pace. This season when i've seen him he looked like he'd lost a bit, nothing drastic, but a sign its downhill from here. La Liga will suit him more, he'll just waltz through defenses instead of bursting through them here. Dunno bout that, that goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup last season was about as fast as I've ever seen someone run on a football pitch tbh. Think last season might have just been a case of him losing his appetite for it a bit when he saw how far behind Man U and Chelsea they'd fallen. Could be. Could also be him coming back from injuries, it also could be that he doesn't look as fast on a proper sized football pitch instead of Subbuteo Park, aka Highbury. But these injuries he has been having will slow him down at his age, its inevitable in the end.
  8. Manchester, lock up your wives, Sven is coming to town!
  9. Thoughts please..... PS: Been mulling over? mackems.gif Desperate money grabbing fuker is probably being restrained by his agent who want to play hardball a bit before agreeing.

  11. But it does, footballers do not last forever, the closer they get to retirement the cheaper they become. This was Arsenal's last chance to get good money for him, they sold at the right time, the fee is a fair one imo. Zidane went to real in 2001 aged 30 for £47 million and was class, and henry isnt as good as zidane but hes certainly up there i think £20 million would have been alot more justifiable. Zidane is 35 now, that would of made him 29 surly? And if you look at when he was born and the day he was transferred, he'd only just turned 29. well 29, but henry is 29 now but almost at 30 Henry isn't on the form of his life though, whereas Zidane was at his peak, and that's why the fee was so high. Henry peaked about 2 seasons ago, and needs the move to freshen himself up imo. I get what you are saying in general though, in comparison to the £17m Bent saga, its daylight robbery.

  14. Exactly, first sign of trouble. It's almost petty like, wouldn't stop whining about it. For me it was an excuse, a reason to leave. Wenger's probably gutted, it was his walk away without infuriating the fans clause as well.
  15. Harsh. I hope the c*** has a heart attack and just suvives. Better? Not really, you're just making yourself look a twat. Gutted tbh. PS: Am the 1st person ever to wish FS dead or called him a cunt. Regular trend setter me.

  17. Maybe Wenger is off, maybe there is no replacement lined up. Can Wenger be arsed to rebuild this Arsenal team....again? (esp with new American owners) I think he'd enjoy a move to Madrid more. No matter how good a rebuild job he does, he's got two rock solid teams to get past, and another team on his level to fend off. With Madrid he's sitting a lot prettier. I just think his time has come, he only wants to stay another year max, so a rebuild job could possibly be out of the question.
  18. 28 in December or summit. What we've got to think of it is we paid £16m, £3.5m was part of the Woodgate deal, the FA paid the last year of his wages, plus other compensation, and this time next year he'll be in his last year of his contract, and Liverpool saw fit to sell him for £8m when that came about, when he was highly rated by everyone, and 4 years younger. Its hard to swallow, but it looks like we have too.
  19. Maybe Wenger is off, maybe there is no replacement lined up.
  20. They look normal without him. hardly. when wenger goes is when they'll look normal. They'll fall apart without Wenger.
  21. Tottenham have a great chance of taking them imo. If we sign like we should sign, we could possibly have a peak, but too many changes would need to be made, and too mnay players would need settling down. Our only plus point would be no Euro competition so we could focus on 4th place.
