I have a feeling that Lampard will score a massive penalty in the World Cup.
-
Is good that he's going through all the top clubs quickly. They are just cheap one night stands to him. His real true love will be NUFC with whom he will settle down with for a glorious 15 years.

Bit easy to cheat, Buy club for £130m, sell for £500m then immediately buy back for £200m.
-
Allardyce said he was going to do something about that, but whether that happenned or is still in place is another question.
-
I expect Constant puns when he signs.
-
While my team (in the OP) had no pure defensive midfielders, I thought that the front six would all do their defensive share.
-
He was still great for England for 10 years.

Diego Swarfega.

Decent free kick position lost to more Spanish showboating.
-
Look at that, shoots whenm he should have crossed. Typical underachieving Spaniard.

Atletico are like Spain used to be, always trying to score the perfect goal and not getting behind the defenders which is what would actually be serving them best. Definitely performing at only 50% their potential. Fulham have clever, organised players with a little talent and a good physical presence, just the side that can take this.

4. Not bad for a 30 year old these days.

Bollocks. Sir Bobby won the Cup-Winners' Cup with Barcelona just 13 years ago. GLENN ROEDER INTERTOTO CUP CHAMPION

I spent the afternoon thinking "Raymond Domenech, what a fool"

I'm going to be optimistic and say that the club are trying to overexaggerate themselves as Misers. They want to lose the tag of being a club held to ransom for extra millions from clubs and agents, so by setting out our stall we are making ourselves harder negotiators. Although looking to get the sustainable situation, we will pay more than people expect, but it will be in a cautious and hard negotiated deal, with as many Bosmans and Websters as possible.

Bobby Robson Englands World Cup 90 Squad Englands Euro 96 Squad. Perhaps this is where we've gone wrong since, too much positive hype of England in the media in the build up. What if instead of fawning over Beckham's metertarsal in 2002, the media questioned his place in the squad from day one, would it have had a better effect?
-
If that happenned, half the clubs in the PL would be deliberately trying to get relegated.

"OK Chris, you and your staff can go to France, but it is coming out of your 24 days holiday x"

Promote from within where possible Sounds like the public sector. But the important thing is who decides when and where it is and isn't possible? Would the board ever step in to tell the manager that they have to play a youth player?

I think this financial stability plan is a gamble by Ashley. Gambling on the collapse of Liverpool and Man Utd and avoiding the fallout by breaking even. The alternative is to invest a huge chunk on midtable mediocrity. As a fan, I'd prefer the latter myself.

Don't panic, Hughton will probably get the increased TV money.
-
There will be money for the manager to spend, just it will be the TV money, which although is increasing hugely next season, will be the same as what the other clubs have. The challenge is for the manager to get a good performance:£ ratio. All in all though, a lot of worrying stuff in there.

Oh yeah, first of all he's not 2nd choice, secondly he will never play a world cup match and thirdly he's absolutely s****. Not even first choice in FC Copenhagen. Most clubs have a third choice keeper they never intend to play just so the club have a steady reserve team keeper so the outfield players don't have to worry too much. see Tony Caig, or recently Nielsen at Man City.
