One name being mentioned is Esteban Granero of Real Madrid, currently on loan at Getafe.

Well if a respected, successful and experienced professional really thinks this (especially under the assumption that he is very aware about Ashley's plans for the club):
-
He's not a team player. He's always running down blind alleys and giving the ball away in the process. Dyer was better at what N'Zogbia thinks he's best at.

To be honest, I think a good 442 will trump our 433 as there are too many spaces in and around our midfield. I reckon that 442-451-433 could become the paper-scissors-stone of footballing formations. I think though today that with Portsmouth injuries, their midfield will be quite deep and compact and this won't expose the 433's frailties as such, rather it will be down to the tracking of Krancjar, and the midfield trio out battling their midfield.

We should bid £101m

Samir Nasri needs adding.

Those in bold are either better than Taylor, or will become better than Taylor within the next five years.
-
I think Taylor is the better of the two, but things could change if we improve our defensive unit (as a team, not just in defence), and Taylor doesn't stop having some of those moments of bad defending that he still produces.

Of all South Americans/European League players I have ever seen play, I'd say that Aimar is the least suited to playing Premier League football.

what is a high brow transfer rumour ? That my friend is the answer we all seek ... And you can bet your bottom dollar that people would complain about the interpretation.
-
Don't forget that we may also have the chance to put Arsenal in an automatic CL place.
-
Don't know why you just couldn't click on 'Transfer Section' and find it easier to avoid those threads you mention.
-
I detest Chelsea they are a plastic club with despicable players. Liverpool are my favourites of those five.
-
So if it's not sick, what is it porridge?

Too right indi, I've got waay to many interesting projects ongoing this summer to be trawling through an unmanageable rumours thread. Sticking to one thread would stop people making interesting posts regarding transfers, as more likely than not it would end up in that thread where the sun don't shine, no-one will read, and almost no-one will bother to reply.
-
Exactly. Would be an annoying compartmentalisation. That is better than one massive clogged up pile of s*** though. If people don't want to talk about the rumours or whatever, they'll just drift down the pages anyway never to be seen again. Part of the fun in the summer on here, imo, is the daft rumours. When there's no football on, there's nowt better than sitting trawling through the tabloid websites when you've just got in late from work or even out drinking, and being linked with Raul, Ronaldinho, and then getting people saying they're past it, not good enough, wouldn't come in a million years, etc. Would take a lot of the enjoyment out of the forum for the summer for me anyway. As I see it a transfer forum won't prevent rumours and endless speculation, it will encourage it, but in a way that isn't going to affect a core group of users.

There definitely shouldn't be a general football. A rumours section will just help people filter out what they want to and dont want to read. Otherwise good threads get hidden by Harry-Norway's pleas that we sign BREDE HANGELANDELAND from Fulham why not as they are relegated??!!!!!!???!!!!!
-
Yes.

It is artificial segregation really. I'm sure that there would be less race issues if people from different communities integrated with white British society rather than all being bunched together, talking to one another in their own languages etc. The separate communities you see in many cities just leads to mistrust and lack of understanding.
-
The worry is with all these threads is that when Keegan signs the modern day Andy Cole, or the modern day Les Ferdinand with no Deco or Ronaldinho in sight, people are going to be very dissapointed as a result of the hype they themselves have created.
-
Signs until 2010, and he wants to go out on loan next season. Fair play to the lad, he has apparently worked really hard for the past couple of seasons.

Only thing I remember Edgar getting badly wrong was in the first five minutes, the ball was out wide, we had lots of men back, so Edgar decided to help close down their winger but ended up getting nutmegged and then obstructing Hunt to give away a free kick. You seem to have to be in a pro-Taylor or anti-Taylor camp in the minds of some on here, and I certainly think that there are some pro-Taylor figures who would attack anyone that is blocking Taylor's closest route to the first team, while anti-Taylor people always think that it should be Taylor that is replaced by others. I know it has been refreshing to see us stick with a settled team, but I'd now take turns to rest individuals from the established team for singular matches, and bring players in to see if they can contribute with our current system. I'd wait till after Portsmouth and mackems though, as I want some pride from those games. Then I'd try playing Kadar at left back for one game, give Edgar another go at CB in another game, and try Forster in goal and Carroll in Viduka's role.
