Despite starting the moves for two of our goals on Sunday with two forward passes. Which sounds great if you watch the highlights on tv, unfortunately he doesn't pass it forward nearly enough over the course of 90 minutes and offers the team very little apart from playing it safe the majority of the time, partner that with a defensive midfielder in Butt and it's a bit of a shit partnership. Sometimes it is better to sit back and keep possession instead of wasting balls played forward. Considering that we were leading for most of the game, this is perfectly acceptable.

Even though Geremi started the moves that led to the first and third goals on Sunday?

Only £5m outstanding if reports are accurate.

Started the moves in the last game which led to the 1st and 3rd goal.

my guess is that terry mac does similar to what the other coaches at the club do. interesting to see onsunday that while enrique at half time (warming up) was very animated ie communication mainly by hand signal, then before he came on was being given his instructions by terry mac.......i wonder what that conversation was like. I'm sure Terry Mac just has a list of things to do before the player enters the pitch. "Tied your shoelaces up laddie?" "Stretched your calves?" "Brushed your teeth?" "Been to the toilet?" "No? Are you going to need to in the next seven minutes?" "Alright then laddie. Now I know I'm not allowed to do tactics, but if you look at this stickman on the piece of paper? That is Craig Bellamy. I want you to kick him. If you do that, me and Lee Clark will be nice to you this week, even though you are foreign. Ok?" and you think that because why ? I have an overractive imagination.

Just wet dreams about Will Young.

This has the potential to be the gayest thread ever, but anyway... Who, in order, are the top five best looking NUFC players? I am no expert on such matters, but I would say: 5. Steve Harper 4. David Rozehnal 3. Shola Ameobi 2. Michael Owen 1. David Edgar What do you think?

Say Cheese! (or in Carr's case, lay off the cheese)

Forster looks a bit like Sylar. -
Not to mention the busy Christmas schedule. Club comes before country.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7009480.stm Out for two months once he has op. Plans to play through pain until Christmas are unrealistic.

According to Allardyce, Cacapa has a similar injury, and he is being treated the same way as Owen, so I don't think there is an issue related to internationals in this case.

I dreamt years ago when Nicky Butt was a settled Manchester United player (Before WC2002) that he scores the winner for us in a cup final.

Seeing the game on Match of the Day 2 having already seen the game live can be quite useful as it allows extended replays of the goals, and can give further appreciation of the build up to the goals, rather than the usual replay fare you get. And having seen it, I think people need to revise their opinions of Geremi's performance. For the first and third goals, our attacks started with Geremi expertly winning the ball and then quickly giving the ball to players further up the field. He also had a slightly lucky role in our second goal. Much of what he does goes unnoticed, but his contribution is invaluable to the team, and we wouldn't have attacked so effectively if it had been another player there in his place.

According to Sam on Newcastle World, Cacapa and Owen both have hernia related problems and will have a scan. Viduka took a knock to the foot, but will be fine.

To be fair, I've noticed that it is those who are younger that are quicker to discount Duff. Probably limited memories of sparse Chelsea appearances that can easily be forgotten at that age. And I doubt Duff at Blackburn would be particularly remembered or appreciated by someone who would have been a pre-teen at the time.
-
Milner, although erratic, can beat his man. Milner, although erratic, can put in a good cross. Milner can shoot, and score, n'all. Duff can do jack shit. I keep forgetting he plays for us. Duff showed he has ability at home against Alkmaar, away against West ham, and in numerous Blackburn and Chelsea games. Don't judge him until we see him feature with good team mates and a good manager.

Matchday duties have been assigned to other physios. Probably because they can run to the injured player quicker.

What is happenning with the Allar-dice?
-
Purely apathetic performance by Chelsea. Manchester United lack the cutting edge still though. Villa and Everton and Blackburn and Portsmouth are all inconsistent. Spurs and Bolton are in a real rut. Will Lee or Jol be the next boss to go?
-
So are you calling that a "7" for N'Zogbia overall then, or what? Attack is more important than defence when it comes to winning matches, so he can have an 8.
-
Harper - 7 N'Zogbia - Defensively, 5. Offensively, 9. Cacapa - 6 (Taylor - n/a) Rozehnal - 6.5 Beye - 7.5 Milner - 6 Geremi - 6.5 Butt - 7 Smith - 6.5 Viduka - 8 (Enrique - n/a) Owen - 6 (Martins - 6)

That he isn't allowed to play at left back in the first place. It is not a criticism of the player. All players have weaknesses. Similar stuff could be said of Shearer at left back. I'm just pointing out that we would be much better if he played somewhere else, as I think some on here are overrating his ability as a left back.
