  1. So Joelinton has been a deep lying poacher all this time
  2. Think the courts will void any relegation in the event of Ashley winning any court case. 21 teams in the league next season.
  3. He still had moments when he tried to do things on his own. It was worrying when his Bournemouth stats were brought up showing he only plays consistently well when he has a strike partner and it defo looks like that is what he needs right now
  4. Really still believe that the players are good enough if they can be brought back to liking football again and being allowed to get forward. On that basis and accepting that the potential replacement candidates aren’t great and we are awaiting court cases the best bet for Ashley now might be to offer a huge retirement bonus on keeping us up to Harry Redknapp
  5. He got us pushing and playing further up the pitch. Fitness has to be managed but he should be starting up too with Wilson as much as possible. In my view the best system is with any tactical acumen something like this Caroll Wilson ASM Almiron Hayden Shortstaff Lewis Fernandez Schar Murphy Dubravka
  6. I live around the corner from the Maine Road Centre Circle which has been maintained as part of the development with a plaque on the centre spot. Flowers have been placed there by many, fair enough, however I just came across a nutter praying and kissing the plaque, hope this isn’t going to be a superspreading event!
  7. I don’t really buy the line that Pardew had the players to bail him out. We’ve seen time and time again other good playing squads who either are not performing due to the managers tactics or who are mentally not there. Therefore despite his many shortcomings and general unpopularity the other names on the list are not good enough to wipe his arse.
  8. How the fuck did Liam Kennedy even get that letter? Looks like a game changer to me.
  9. I don’t think people understand what is going on here, the legal route that NCSL are going down is through the CMA. This route is only open to customers. The PL in their arrogance believe they can fight off any anti-competition fight because it is extremely difficult for customers to band together and raise the capital to fight the case. In fact in the initial legal salvo the PL told NCSL that they were unwilling to engage in a legal battle because NCSL can’t afford it. Therefore if NCSL do have the money, the PLs argument to block the legal case will be that NCSL aren’t customers, but in fact a private organisation attempting to abuse the process to further its own market objectives. Therefore NCSL have to move from a position of zero presence six months ago to outwardly appearing and behaving like a supporter’s group so are deliberately behaving dumber and like a fan.
  10. Ive sometimes wondered whether a judge might even make a decision which effectively grants us immunity from relegation based on the PL unnecessarily prolonging the O&D decision. Now that would be some twist!
  11. No Dr From Sunderland with Love Chubbyfinger Longball Your Only Sacked Thrice On Her Majesty’s Secret Sausage Contracts Aren’t Forever Live and Let Pie
  12. As Club Captain he needs to step up now and explain the reasons for his absence.
  13. Someone in the takeover consortium just has to be watching all this and be demanding Bruce out haven’t they? Haven’t they?!
  14. Regarding our vote against the MENA deal yesterday, legally had to be done as further down the line this vote might be used against us in court. Hence I’m not reading too much into this, it was the logical next step.
  15. I’m not a huge fan of excuses generally but this one is force majeure, a lot of players have taken a knock to their aerobic fitness as a result of the virus and may now struggle with the run of games coming up. I fully expect us to be shit this week and it’s for a valid reason. It makes the WBA win an extreme blessing.
  16. He is one of a small group of players I’d want to see stay at club as a squad player with any ambitious takeover. The others being Wilson, ASM, Longstaffs, Schar and Dubravka. Perhaps Lewis and Fraser too but jury is out there.
  17. Going forward please use this thread for significant deaths of the football world if you don’t want to start a thread on it. The Still Not Worthy Thread is not an appropriate place for this. RIP Gerard Houllier, your Liverpool time was a team I enjoyed watching growing up.
