Bruce getting his boys sorted before they can be axed tbh. He did look good yesterday but given the amount of games he can play per season that is probably 3/4 decent performances a season. Dressing room impact must be immense. Random player "But gaffer, what are the tactics?" *Andy Carroll stands up and stares* Random player "Right you are gaffer"

1000% I am 999% with you.

Was shocked at the 4 year deal. Was expecting a 2 year, 3 at most. He has earned it though. Definitely our most consistent performer at RB. Glad he is sticking around.

Newcastle United 1-1 Aston Villa - 24/06 - post match from p17

3 points gifted by bad defending, 2 points dropped due to bad defending. Pretty shit game all round except for some ASM brilliance and a couple of beautiful Shelvey passes. No to prepare for the hiding we are getting on Sunday. -
It is like he has a magnet pulling him to the left wing. I guess it frees up bit of space for miggy but we need someone else through the middle and in the middle. He was ok today and that is probably the most I have celebrated a goal since miggys first. Hope he kicks on from here. He is the best we have. Doesnt say much but he is.

It's complete wind up merchantry. It is good material though and will get people shitting people because it comes from a Mackem idol, Mackems are likey Ashleys only friends in the North East and we cold all totally see Ashely taking glee in sticking it to the fans again. It even has the plausible notion if the new bid is 50m more the 17m he would owe PIF/Reubans/Stavely would be covered with interest. Might also just be a nice pressure on the PL to get it approved and not piss off the Saudis.

Happy for Birghton, although a bit more pressure on us. Ironic I can sit here and call arsenal a mess with what is likely to come from us tomorrow! They were shocking though.
-
Big wins for Chatlton and Wigan too if they hold on.

Better if the person doing the sound hits the boo button lol

How can VAR even argue that! Complete bollocks dropped. Shame that could hugely impact their Europe push. It is naff but i actually don't mind the crowd noise. Villa nearly throw the game!

That is mental

"Try to live a normal life, try to live a normal life.." *Steps out of his house, drives to work*... "where is everyone?" The best thing to do its to try and ignore it as you say. It is more irritating now than a month or two ago but I am past the excitement and non stop page refresh stage. It is likely the only thing interesting for some people during this pandemic though. Seeing as we aren't in the positive thread, maybe the PL will just wait until we lose a few games and are hovering above relegation. Then they will announce its rejected. A jolly thought. Still think it is all good though. Just no idea when they will announce it. Logic is out of the window at this point. I haven't wavered from thinking this will get approved though. PL still just trying to save face and look the best they can before approving it.

Spin by the BBC I think. From what's been reported it looks like no-one involved in the takeover is directly linked or named. The obvious result as requested in the report is for Saudi Arabia to buckle down on piracy which is as easy as them committing to the PL likely followed by bidding for premier league rights. This is an easy hurdle to overcome than the moral issues. There wont be any way to really address the latter either. All in all this should move forward now. I do think we will be waiting another week or two to let the report settle and premier league games to resume. Hopefully not.

Don’t think so no. http://www.andre-champagne.com

I'd actually be surprised if there wasnt just a generic template each club was given that was developed by the PL for consistency. That way at least if clubs put in bare minimum it looks fine. Would be ace if they unveiled the takeover via the tarp or during the pre game.
-
So each club has tailored the covered stands part to their liking. I fully expect we will have white sheets sewn together. Either way I am sure we will look at the other clubs innovation while we look like a sack of bare minimum effort shit.

Still would be floored if they rejected the bid but on the verge of creating more flapping I don't see it happening next week with the WTO coming out. It could ramble on for another few weeks at least as they will want to let that sit and the press and detractors will have another field day saying why it shouldn't happen. Just can't see it getting confirmed the same week a "supposedly damning" report comes out. It has become such a farce though, especially if the PL had access to these reports already....unless the report actually doesn't confirm anything and they are waiting for it to be release to back up their rationale for passing it? I still believe the fact it has been dragged out is for the PL to save face showing how stringently and seriously they took allegations and looked into this before they wave it through.

Fair enough I am happy to hold my hands up and say I have dropped a clanger of words there. It was an impatient hissy fit of post. Fueled by a rude early Canadian morning wake up by kids, subsequent newsnow failure to herald positive takeover news, compounded by the realization that Bruce et al. will be here causing at least 3 more months damage that could have been progress. I know it was reported from the start he would get the rest of the season but we have seen a window for change diminish week by week. Obviously after 13 years another 3 months is bearable for long term gain. I got up and put my big boy pants back on and am calmer. Thank you for a N.O. reality slap.
