In my all time favourite XI no doubt. Complete legend and still a little underrated in comparison to some of the other excellent singers we have had.

Another miracle working season from Rafa. What a man. What comes next will be a typical Newcastle circus car crashing clusterfuck. We have today though.

To dream the impossible dream. Another year of survival. Bit if a blip having to spend money on Almiron but job done. Mike will be delighted.

It's the almiron and rondon factor as well. He has more space sometimes and the opposition defence has more to think about. Plus he has always been productive out wide (even if he was more central for lots of he second half)

This is their only chance at picking up points til season end imo. There won't be any parking the bus. They cant afford to. They are dependent on Fulham and palace doing them favours and man city having already won the league come last day. Goal difference looks good now but after spurs, arsenal and man city that might look radically different.

No doubting the commitment, leadership and he has quality. It is why I wasn't happy about him being linked away last season. I get why he needs replacing though and likewise at his age and character why he wont want to sit as a squad player. -
Credit where it's due for Ayoze. What a superstar. faded a bit and played a bit to central second half for me but there when we need him again. What a second half of the season he has had.

Hows that not a foul. Either way play the whistle ayoze.

Perez hasnt shown this half and its left us hugely vulnerable down the left. They have acres of space. Injuries have also messed us up obviously.
-
Pompey to beat them and condemn them to playoffs. Then beat them again in said playoffs to condemn then to league one again.

Fuck me what happened in here? Easy lads.

Kin hell Joey Barton. Much like his playing career so much potential ruined by moronic tendencies. Loon army.

That last penalty shout might have been a possibility for Cardiff other two was 100% right call. Good refereeing bar giving it in the first place lol.

a) how the hell are we playing Friday b) how the hell didnt I know that Amateur hour on my part. On the upside that's us safe now imo. Silver linings and all that.

Whatever floats your boat I guess?

Oh, like we should really care.. but.. its hard not to

This. Would be absolutely devastated being a Cardiff fan. Then there is what happened today to top it off

Oh dear.

They still have 11 games to play the could still end up top.

A say wha?

In other words the referee simply did not know the rules. No other way of viewing it. If it wasnt intentional it was certainly reckless and could have injured the player. Either way completely a red for me. Not sure why there is an argument or more pundits agreeing. Le tissue is the only pundit I have seen that said it could have been red.

So important today as I dont think we get much if anything from our next two games. Then the palace game is big. I liked ki in the first half. While he doesn't get quite as stuck in and as physical as longstaff he has a little bit more class and intelligence. Love how he keeps things ticking over. Also having shelvey back is a game changer. He is a gamechanger imo. I know the opinion is well split on him but his ability to pass completes the promise of the front three imo. Just not sure how he fits in to start. Hayden continues to he solid and ki wouldnt be defensive enough by himself but he also plays a mor consistent role in keeping things calm and ticking over that shelvey likely wouldnt. Also maybe controversial but I think dummet offered as much if not more than Ritchie and far better defensively. I'd switch them for starting tbh. -
Absolutely stunning today. If he and rondon can get on the same page with almiron they will be deadly. He has kopped some flack over the past year or two but almiron in the side in particular has given him a new lease of life. Obscene hold up play in the second half. If I have a criticism, he goes down too easy. That didnt happen today and he looked better for it.
