If we actually spend the same in January and the Summer then we will be back on track next year. This year is very much a transition year in terms of psyche and set up of the team and many aspects of the club, the signings we have made and hopefully will again make in January will placate a lot of fans and give the new set up a good year and a half to prove themselves without huge criticism. Hopefully that is more than enough time to get things on the right track and get us where we all believe we should be.

Survived the window. Played a fair amount of games in Ligue 1 last year, 3 goals 6 assists in 33. Nothing mind blowing, albeit in a weaker team, but could play apart as a squad player here once fit imo. In the very limited chance he was given here two seasons ago he always looked a class apart in terms of having a footballing brain and his close control/technique. Also could be criticized for hiding a bit in a couple of games but he certainly wasn't alone. Think he could thrive under this set up and give something different though, glad to see him still here at least until the new year.

Same here, Perez should start anyways tbh Aye, will be interesting to see what we go with. Ball is in Cisse's court if he wants to fight for his future he has three games to do it. Still rather have Perez starting all three.
-
But think of our squad depth... squad depth.... sea depth.. squad depth..
-
Surprised there isn't interest and he hasn't been enticed to the MLS. Would do a good job there imo.
-
If Cisse leaves we will get someone in. We won't rely on Perez up top alone. My patience ran out with cisse this preseason. Been prepared to give him a chance for a while but for what he offers to the team and his age we are better cashing in imo. Especially if we get someone like Austin that's proven in this league.

Pards has competition for the england job.

Shit me, it was 7m a month ago. Guess they did some looking around as to what other players were going for. Forget that move then.
-
Cisse and gouffran out Rolan and N'Koulou in Would be a fantastic end to the window. Not expecting anyone in, &just gouffran out. When was the last time we had a quality Signing in on deadline day? Solano?
-
Still not sure why we didnt sign aywew.

Coming back from injury. He was anonymous after the sending off really. Out wide just doesn't work for him. Not sure where else is?
-
I couldn't care less. Bottom line - he didn't work here, he was never going to work here. Maybe at a new club where he is adored and with more power he will do better, maybe he will do the same as h3 has at every other club, good year and a half then nose dive. It's a moot point, the main thing is he isn't here anymore, thank f***.

It was an average Colback performance, plain average. Didn't do too much wrong, didn't really impact the game, certainly offensively which means we get pinned back far too often. Agree with M4 no need to have him and Anita on the pitch, wijnaldum back and colback on the bench as backup to Anita. Having a chance to sit there and know he has to improve to work his way back would do him good. The general mong crowd will see that and past the fact he is a local lad eventually.
-
Aye. An actual run in the first team playing to his strengths and he looks like a different player. Drop wijnaldum back next to him and put dejong up top and the Dutch triangle will serve us well.
-
Should anyone be surprised when he is put alongside someone that has a brain and can defend. Colo has been dragged down by alot of different factors that have also got in his head. A quality LB would probably make him look even better. Keeping him and mbemba fit all season will be the biggest challenge.
-
Biggest question is how much or his game do we affect by toning him down. He is very young still. Gutted he will be a marked man all season, desperately needs to start scoring to take the spotlight off his physicality.
-
Yeah, or Remy back on loan lol. Players of his skill, technique and footballing brain are hard to find. Austin would give us goals, given chances more so than Remy. But a Remy type would add to our overall play way more.
-
What a player this guy is. As mentioned I would like to see him drop deep and replace colback with perez or maybe dejong playing behind the striker.
-
Seems to be growing a nice partnership with Colo and understanding with the team. Classy player, classy guy. Still think we are risky alot not getting another CB. Can see Colo and Saylor getting injured.
-
Barely even a foul, let alone a second yellow for coutinho. Horrendous day for premier League officiating.
-
Great with the ball at his feet, can really hold up the ball well. Genuinely excited to see him play again. Stark contrast to this time last year, not being at all convinced about Cabella.

When a player walks back on the pitch and continues to play. It's madness. I wonder what percentage of "leg breakers" break someone's leg? The percentage of red cards that ruin contests must be pretty high. the games become so PC I'm surprised they haven't reversed red cards as it victimizes human error. Oh good now we get fined for his shit officiating too. -

Red cards need reviewing. What is the purpose of red cards? Does a clumsy tackle need to constitute such a huge advantage for another team and then a 3 match ban? Officials have had zero control of this match and have ruined it as a contest or spectator sport. The red card is a by-product of the rules. -
Good god, we shouldn't be sending him out on loan, he will get minutes here. He is clearly close to being a starter already, its just a case of blooding him in and protecting him a bit at the same time. We have plenty of games coming up and its just a matter of one or two people getting injured and he gets a run in the team, thats if he doesn't play himself anyway. I would be more worried if he wasn't making match day squads. Unlike hampering Fergusons development he isn't just being kept here in case everyone gets injured. Aarons will in the least get minutes off the bench ever other game.
