  1. Don't forget Zenden. Wijnaldum will never come here mind.
  2. Answer = stick with Ameobi and Riviere.
  3. Weren't ever actually going to sign a highly rated English striker like Austin were we. Always going to be bigger and better destinations a available for him. To be honest wouldn't be surprised if it was press revenge for the shut out.
  4. Zenden in talks with Liverpool about a role apparently. Would be a solid addition by all accounts.
  5. Still wary of the Keane link. No coincidence he jimmy floyd and lee clark were linked. Think they have been lining some of this up for a few weeks.
  6. Surprised with the northern echo report about the qualities and experience mclaren wants there isn't more talk of shearer being on the team. He is a big advocate of mclaren and would fit the dressing room respect. Maybe the Austin tweets carry more weight. Petrified we are getting Keane in tbh. Simpson might be coming in but he surely isn't the assistant mclaren is talking about.
  7. Would bloody love Austin and berahino. Never getting them both. Not been linked but would like Matt Phillips here. Been inspired every time I've seen him play this season.
  8. Apparently press conference at 3:16
  9. Dissapointed with Round not returning. Very highly rated coach, along with alan irvine who also should never have left they made Everton tick under moyes. Liking keeping woodman though blatantly know he is off to Palace it want some compo. I fully expect Steele to come here when palace make their move.

    John Carver

No one here understands why I am laughing into my phone maniacally.. least of all my class full of Canadian students. Great news.
  11. Hoping he brings Steve Round back here and Steele. Would be a huge improvement on what we have. Not sure about Paul Simpson. Would rather Clark than Stone or Carver. I'd think he would only come in if the other two departed.
  12. Will be interesting to see who he tries to grab from his Derby pool of players. Saw them play a bit last year, have family that watch them a bit and live in Derby. I'd take Johnson and Ince. Pretty much it though. Russell is essentially a little bit better version of gouffran, very hard working, quick..wouldnt be the worst squad player. Martin is slow as fuck.. the second coming of Micky Quinn. Bent found his level in the championship Thorne is highly thought of but has been crocked forever. Really wouldn't touch anyone else.
  13. This to be fair... it is the last thing the fans, players and city needs. I guess whats key is that he will work well in our system because he and carr are pals. Plus we save money on having to give him a club tie.. http://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img/dynamic/67/590x/steve.gif-451916.jpg Sack off Carver, Stone and let Woodman go to Palace.. bring in Steele, Round and Clark.
  14. What a depressing state of affairs. Nothing has changed. Cheap best option we can get that is British and mates with existing staff. Pros Cons Works well with youth and has a reputation for it Doesn't possess an inspiring personality which is sorely needed to unite fans back to the club Can attract players here Won't be a pull for the best players Is an upgrade on Pardew Isn't an upgrade on most of the other names linked Has won something and in this league Has failed at all but two of his managerial roles Will hopefully bring Steve Round back with him Will almost 100% have no issue working with Carver, Stone and Woodman Likes to play free flowing attacking football Pardew also liked to play free flowing football at Reading, Charlton and West Ham. Knows the area His teams have bottled pressure situations at the majority of his positions. Knows the superiors well Has as recently as January gone on record to say he hates working under the type of system we have.
  15. I know he is highly thought of by many people but.. seriously why Mclaren. He has failed at all but two managerial posts he has been at. Even all this talk of him reclaiming dignity at Derby was due to his predecessor setting him up and bringing through great youth players.. and he still failed. I just can't see anyone else be appointed though. Other than the fact he apparently works well with youth and likes attacking football on the deck, he is the most uninspiring choice and personality which won't help heal the rift between fans and the club or draw anyone back. At least he will be motivated to prove doubters wrong and might bring Steve Round back.
  16. Bittersweet, we all know he is not good enough, yet he played better than most in the end. Truly lovely guy by the sounds of things and a cult hero. Deserves to be playing at the end of the day.. will be forever welcomed back at SJP.
  17. Upside to mclaren..we might see Steve round come back. Quality coach.
  18. We simple can't afford to hire a manager with zero personality. We need someone that can inspire the players and the fans and bring them back to the club. Mclaren will get the job. Mates with Carr, has local connections and understands the area. An upgrade on Pardew but why appoint mediocre.
  19. Unbelievable waste of a starting position. This guy was a gamble to start but has totally regressed here. Has to be gone in the summer.
  20. Was a complete warrior today, still a bit too much hit and hope at times out of panic but absolutely gave his all. That 4 on 1 though.. To be fair Tiote wouldn't have passed either. He would have shot at the half way line and papiss would have got himself offside somehow.
  21. Its going to be Mclaren isn't it. Please don't sack him Derby. Give him one more year!
  22. This. What a story and incredible role model for life. Beautiful man.
  23. Whistle gone? Yes? hit post... been wanting to send this press release for fucking ages.
  24. Shame we are going to end up with fucking McClaren.
