Fellani is the difference for me like.. some height, power and forward drive in central mid. We don't have anything like him, I know its not high up anyones list but he is the type of player we need through the middle. From the links to Sissoko and Lallana an attacking midfielder is certainly on our list, I don't know where on the list it sits though. Back to today, it doesn't help that Anita and Tiote both sit back as Tiote and Cabaye did all last year, we get easily bossed in midfield and offer them chance after chance to attack.

Need bigi on to help shore up the middle IMO. Tiote is literally a shell of his former self, we need him back. Obertan again looks great on the left, pardew will switch him to the right where he will be largely ineffective.

Who is in our central midfield? Tiote needs some love he is having a mare. Midfield need to grow some balls an take control.

Nolan has never been properly replaced, although we have bought midfielders. Missing a box to box attacking mid. Hopefully marv could turn into that player but he isn't the bust a gut to get into the box type.

Other problem is now we need two strikers brought in. Cisse and Ameobi are our only fully tested strikers. We only have Xisco, Sammy, Campbell and Ranger if one or both of the above get injured.

Disappointing to get Ba pulled at the last minute, not a help to our preparations. I wish Demba all the best though, he has been class for us and I don't begrudge him the move if he really wants it, although I would rather he stayed. Don't agree, he has shown a lot of naivety. At his age he needs to get regular games to grow his game. If we bring another striker in that can also play wide (which looks like what we are looking for) he will be further down the list.

Andy Carroll. Helped us back up and his fee (hopefully) cemented us back into the premiership. From the list I would have to say Colo - a shining light at the back and for the whole squad. Krul was great business but we also had big fraiser who like harper with given, could have been just as good for us as the Dutchman.
