Should have been off imo. Think we will be ok if we sign a decent LB to help Jonas out. What worries me most is the lack of forward drive from CM. Way too deep today, way too respectful. Think Arsenal were there for the taking. Most of the game we had 6 players in our own half when we were attacking. Thought Barton was an embarassment overall, general sub par game from him when he should have been out to impress. We know Simpson can work well with him and we saw glimpses of promise with Obertan, so the right might not be so bad. Saylor worries the hell out of me, but generally the defence was good.

My stream cut out, so by the sounds of it I am out to lunch...but from what I saw his touch and technique is excellent, he is pretty quick too, but damned if he wasnt lazier than Ameobi. He didnt bother running a few times when we were attacking, didnt follow up with things. Maybe I just missed the blinding bits and saw when he was knackered.

Don't need to elaborate. Desperately need Benarfa and Marveaux back, desperately need a LB and desperately need a decent striker. Props to Best when he came on and despite my earlier criticism Ameobi didnt do too badly.

Delivery has been pathetic with every set piece. Barton and Ameobi have been poor imo. Raylor is doing well considering, unfortunately his best is still shit. Offers Jonas nothing to work from. Everyone else like you said is doing ok, but we have no fluidity, we need to gel as quickly as possible over the coming weeks. Mid is playing way too deep, nothing to link up with in attack. We are missing Nolan in that role.. but in the same breath we are looking slightly more solid with Cabaye.

Need to take Ameobi off imo.

Never going to happen, but there is the tiniest of possibilities we could get both. With Kadar out of the picture and Tavernier on loan we do only have 3 CBs. Way too much sense to hope for though.

Good line up, I would go with that. Maybe if they dont play barton we'llgo willo colo CB , Taylor Rb and simpson LB with Jonas and Obertan on the wings. It'll be one of those 2 We be relatively happy with either of those given the circumstances. I think Willow, Barton and Ubertan will start on the bench though.
