I'm speechless, what a complete shambles.
-
He can't expect them to be appointing him before any takeover is complete. Maybe not, but I don't expect him to(although he might) wait around until that point, when the majority of potential targets have been missed and preparations are weeks behind, reducing the chances of him steering us back to the premiership. We don't like doing things the easy way here.

it'll be f***ing shocking, man. f***ing shocking would be a vast improvement on the shower of s**** we have seen this year.

Can see Shearer walking away tmrw if he doesnt get the answer he wants. I dont blame him either. If we wait any longer to sort this managerial situation out we will lose all the ground on trying to bring decent players in, not to mention carting people out so we can do the former. He has said it before he will only take the job if he thinks he has a good chance at doing well. Just over 3 weeks until Pre Season starts. As of now it doesnt look like we can appoint a manager until those 3 weeks have passed.

Not in the slightest bit optimistic right now, infact as of now I can only see things getting worse. But alot can change over the next few days/weeks. We still have time to redeem ourselves, worryingly though I would have said the same all the way through last season. Hope and Newcastle are always intertwined but generally never rewarding.

You know he will score first game for Spuds and the mask will come out. Bloody typical.
-
I bet you wouldn't Depends what he has in his pocket, could be a used condom, a conker and some polos. Lover lover might like that kind of an arrangement.

Unveiled tmrw, great news for wigan, potential gamble for martinez if whelan is tight fisted. great news for us though. another championship side needing a manager.
-
Think so too. Although ominous for the future of Beye? No reason why we wouldnt keep him and move him as the experienced CB we need though, he is quite adept at both positions.
-
How can you have a thread like this without opening with the words Redknapp and cunt? There are unfortunately more of the disloyal ones out there than not these days.
-
Bastards, they can get t' fuck he's going nowhere!
-
He really does need help if he thinks he might be welcome back. I would back him if the new manager does, but he has long since run out of chances. If your so dedicated to getting back on the right track, how about proving it by taking a pay cut.

That said, its Simpson we have been linked to not Gibson.. would take them both though.

Think I'm going to go Ketsbaia. Albert is tempting though!

Agree with both the above two posts?

Adams for Celtic? Well he seems to think there's a chance
toontownman replied to Belfast Boy's topic in Football
Tony Adams sat in his kitchen with the house phone on the table and his mobile in his hand. "I'll just dial that.....then..." *phone rings* "Hi, The Tony Adams here" (Putting on a high voice) "Hello its your friend Wim Jansen here, Im at Parkhead they want to speak to you for head coach, would you come down?" (Normal voice) "Would I!" Slams down the phone, falls over the kitchen chair and runs into his living room, diving on the couch. "Hi Im Tony adams" (swapping chairs) (low voice) "nice to meet you Tony, I'm John Reid, you already know Wim" (Hi Voice) "Hi Tony, your the best" (shakes his own hand and swaps seats) "why thanks!" (Low voice) "Please Tony-one take the Celtic Job, your our only hope" "Vvvvvzzzzzzz, I will never join the dark side, take that John...Raaa Tony's the best, Raaaa!" (Adams wife) "Tony are you up? can you take the dog for a walk" "Err.... the phone could ring any second love!" (Wife) "Its not rung for six bloody months Tony, now take the dog out" Tony mumbles something and slams the door on his way out... -
NUFC is the major importer of scouse footballers outsider of Merseyside, however it would be ironic if we were trying to buy a scouser who came through our youth system, who we then let go. Then again it is the Daily Mirror with this story & they have policy of link every player with a club & your going to get some right eventually. DOH! Looks like we really do want him back!

Wouldnt suprise me at all. Law of average, Everton will look consistently s***, but pick up the results. Whilst especially the likes of man city will tonk sides when the expensive superstars decide to turn up and play then lose next week at home to stoke. Everton is a club rife for investment, they are one of the most stable clubs at the minute performance and set up wise. Giving Moyes some decent money could do wonders, alternatively there is no guarentee he would spend it on the right players. Overall he has been consistent on that front though imo. Its a tough decision because if they do break the mould and attract a big name it can really upset the apple cart.

Pretty sure we will offload him. Might be useful in the Championship, but its hard to tell having seen little time of him on the pitch.
-
Ug lets hope the bank manager is a Geordie!
-
Would certainly help us next year if he goes to Celtic. Guarenteed to bring Gomez to Celtic with him though. I'd be suprised if he turned them down, would be a good move for a couple of years, then providing he doesnt mess up the easiest job in the world he could move to a big Premier League or European side.

Only fools and horses theme tune would be appropriate right now, or maybe entry of the gladiators with some clowns running around. We should get the Dropkick Murphy's to come play, might hype everyone up a bit too much though. For a theme it has to be something that has a connection the club/fans/area.. other than the songs we alreadt have I cant really think of anything appropriate.

We have a reserve team, but it wont be playing in the premiership reserve league. So the experience the players get will be alot less and the level alot lower.

Parkhead? Didnt think anyone could hate the Str88888888888 one? Can see a few bids coming in for him over the summer like. Lets hope we dont jump on the money. I don't think it's likely that some club would put a good enough bid for him for us to consider it. He's still raw and it's hard to say if he's going to be any good at higher level. The reports I've read from the people here who go to youth matches seemed to say that a big part of his form this season has been down to him being bigger than the other players & dominating with his physical play. That will radically change when he moves up to Championship/Prem and then we'll start to see what he really is capable of. He looks like he could do with bulking up a bit, but it will be interesting to see how he holds his own next year. Hopefully we sign a couple of decent experienced players upfront so we can ease him in over time.
